I say go for it. You can always come back
Don’t base your decision on VP or Director title. Either is fine if you are just 12 years into career. You’ve got decades ahead to worry about 1 up’ing your title. If you believe in the company, like the role, and are ready to make a move with the family go for it if the #’s work for you
Hire me
Bruh you gotta give us all the facts before you ask opinions! You know we’re gonna say no if you mention pay cut and relocation 😂
Agree, go for it, but sounds like a pretty good pay cut, no?
No idea why you couldn't get VP title
What level are you now? If you have a few years director-level consulting experience, particularly Big4/ACN prior to Slalom, you should get VP if the position is relevant to your experience.
Will need to relocate and may be a pay cut
How many years in the industry are you? What practice area? Do you have any experience outside of consulting?
Total 16 and about 12 in consulting. Part of Slalom OLT. Most my experience is consulting
Go for it!
It’s in Grow phase ... more of a post start up. Reward might be 5x vs 50X but might set me up for the future.
Also how do you negotiate with a post start up?
Director of customer success at a saas startup could basically be account manager and well below your level of you have that much experience
What level @ Slalom?
PAL and acting CSL
Because selling Programs and SaaS is very different.
Selling?
Customer Success is a group that helps customers as much as necessary to ensure they renew their existing licenses and buy more. It's a sales job with an altruistic veneer.
Go for Director and rationalize to your boss that you need to at least have this title to gain credibility with clients on your initial interactions
