Feeling behind at work. I’m relatively new to data/financial modeling. Any advice on learning how to take a client data set, cleaning it up, and turning it into a model for analysis? Looking to use an XIRR formula with an “As of” date option (as of 12/31, 9/30, etc…) So it would essentially stop pulling dates and values once it hits the date in the “as of” date cell.

If I have a very large pivot table with a bunch of subtotals, is there an easy way to make those subtotals actually formula driven? Other than just copying the values from the pivot into a new sheet and converting the hard-coded amounts to formulas manually?
