Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.
Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. I’ll be joining in the private equity group which will be new for me.
Any documents supporting agile promotion ?

Who are these jackamo’s who think SF is where you can raise kids “comfortably”. It’s one of the most expensive cities in the world! Renting a 1,000 sq ft studio for $3k a month for your family is not comfortable
Minneapolis
Or Atlanta
Texas
Minneapolis definitely. Underrated and so many agencies.
Westchester?
Texas is nice. Relatively cheap, international airport for when you want to get the fuck out, weather isn't completely terrible. No income tax.

Was in NYC for almost 10 years. Came to Chicago to have family. Great agencies, work/life balance is expected and encouraged. Still a big city, so not missing out on culture, etc. Overall great decision.
If we didn't have strong roots in our town, I'd go to Boston. But I haven't lived there since college, so it may be just like NYC for all I know.

Third for Minneapolis. It's a gem.

I hate to say it, because we are just inundated already, but Austin sounds like your best bet right now.

Chicago- fairly robust advertising community so you don’t feel stuck at one agency. Significant drop in cost of living. Huge arts and culture scene.
