Got an exit opp that starts right after New Years. Want to drop my exit notice a week before starting PTO for the holiday break to provide a decent transition and not screw over clients, but don’t want to get fired once I wrap up transition before the break. Has anyone seen or experienced this (transitioning right after winter break)? What was your experience and how did you navigate? Deloitte

I anticipate receiving a tentative offer from the DOD. I'm trying to figure out what I should negotiate. All of the listed items below at once? Or would it be wiser to be strategic about what elements to try to get first? Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

What’s your holiday destination this year?
Northern Spain into France, specifically the Basque region is 👌🏼 Love the food, wine and people.
Iceland, Scandinavian countries
Thailand. Super cheap once you actually get there, the food is great, the people are wonderful, there’s so much to do, and there’s so much culture and history to explore.
PVR or St Maarten
PVR looks like a nice city to explore. Is it easy to communicate with locals via English

Do you have hotel recommendations? What specific area there?

I’m in Athens right now and it’s fantastic! The people are so nice and you can definitely get by without knowing much Greek
Are you solo or with people?
I would love to take a solo trip as well. I’ve been considering returning to Canada, and looking into other countries. Passport and ID’s ready, despite the pandemic, that’s the thing.
Also recommend London! I’m a tad bias because I grew up in London during the summers visiting family. But starting in my early teens, I walked around at night and never felt uncomfortable as long as you don’t go somewhere unlit or not highly populated.
I highly recommend the English/Cornish countryside for a more relaxing side of England people don’t talk about enough
So many options! What do you want to do? Look at architecture? Outdoor adventures? Explore more exotic places? Enjoy great food? History? I’ve been to 22 countries and all are good solo. Except Middle East (I’m female- not as great for solo)
