@PwC which B4? I just thought it’s the consulting culture.
Could you ask for a bigger role/more exciting work if you stick around? Given it’s your milestone the EL should expect to be giving you growth opportunities. It could be a chance for you to grow if you are the only veteran left on the team and you automatically get to act as manager as new team members onboard.
But yea, I guess if you do care about your promotion this year you’re gonna be best off sticking it out esp given the overall covid cloud hanging over promotions in general.
I'm already PMing the work. Only step up would be the EL role, which I have no interest in and the current EL wouldn't give it up.
Leave especially if you’re at a plateau. Do not sacrifice your development for the firm, you may feel they’ll notice, but honestly no one will outside of your immediate supervisor. Unless they’re like a regional or practice leading partner, they don’t have the pull to get you what you deserve for a sacrifice. You also can’t sell your goodwill, maturity and concern for client relationship on your CV/Resume. In the moment it feels right, but having been in this situation I realize that all the sacrifice was for nothing except for the couple of folks who knew it happened.
Stick around if the project work is less. You can focus your time on developing new skills while taking credit for the customer success.. worked for me as spent 5 hours per day for 18 months
