Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

I’ve worked with plenty of candidates who went back to big law after realizing in-house or smaller firm wasn’t as ideal as they imagined and went on to do very well. Good luck!

I went back to BL after being out two years and I can say that, while the money is great, I do miss the free time with family (I knew full well the trade offs but thought financial security was worth it). I thought it would be easier because I had more life experience and client contact, but grinding is still grinding even if you are more experienced. I think it’s easier than the first time around but not by a whole lot.
No problem. Also, salary increase is only meaningful if you stay or are really improving your post-BL opportunities. If you burn out or plan on leaving within 1-2 years, then after taxes, it really isn’t that much more money considering the time increase.
