2.Scala+spark
I know python so naturally have an inclination towards pyspark, but is it enough to get a job or Scala is necessity?

YOUR HEALTH COMES FIRST. Don't sacrifice yourself for a firm that would undoubtedly get rid of you if it suited them.
Continued:
I’ve been thinking of leaving for a while now but thought I’d stay until making manager. 3 months in and sept felt like February. Had a meltdown that I had to seek medical help for and was put on leave.
I’ve since worked on my recovery and realised public accounting isn’t for me. Hoping to hear from a job I interviewed for. Does it look bad to resign the week after I’m back from medical leave?
If I wasn’t resigning I’d ask the firm to work out an arrangement that would not involve overtime as my mental health gets significant affected if I don’t have my evening routine of exercise and personal time.
I’m wondering if I should tell them I’m leaving because of the hours and pressure or just say it’s time for me to try something new? Don’t want to burn bridges!
Health reasons do not burn bridges. Getting better should be your focus or finding something that you can live with
Agree with comments above. Would just also add the suggestion of riding your LOA until you find your next gig. Health insurance is expensive and crucial for your continued care. Best of luck. Also cool your GP supported you on this—good for them!
Don’t overthink it. Stay very positive in your interviews. Know that you are marketable, the economy is strong, and you will get another job soon. You don’t need to tell PWC anything more than, when you are leaving, and that you appreciate the opportunities they gave you.
Good luck and take care of yourself.
Never be afraid to leave your job because it "might look bad" life is too short for that kind of nonsense. nobody will remember you in a month and nobody will care. also leaving big 4....they've seen it all, people leaving every way possible. Also you will likely never come back so why would it matter what they think, you should only care about what's best for you.
I would just say it was time cor for something new
Thank you everyone for all the positive and encouraging comments. I feel so much better now! Fingers crossed on hearing back from the company, but in the meantime I’ve set up some realistic expectations with my ELs and hoping to manage myself well. One thing I’ve definitely realised is that it’s time for a change.
Just wanted to come back and thank everyone for their comments. I’ve decided to make the move because I’ve realised I don’t want to audit anymore and want more personal time in my daily routine. I’ll definitely miss the firm and to be fair they have been very understanding re my health but it’s time to say thanks for all the opportunities and move on.
