Here’s a fun game; without naming or giving away the client, tell me one fucked up thing you learned about their industry. I’ll go first...
I have had many people that have transferred into FDD the past 8 months from audit and they end up hating it and keeping the turnover going. Wish the firms actually portrayed what these new consultants are getting into. Hours are more unpredictable, right now you will be working 55 to 60 hours a week probably twice a month. Wish there was more realistic recruiting at this point
Serious quality dilution at Deloitte , the new people who have joined don't have technical or communication skills , it's shocking how bad the hiring quality has dropped. Project is really suffered as a consequence with 1 person doing the task of 3 . Awful situation , i understand attrition is high but please compromise on quality . Deloitte Deloitte USI EY PwC
Hi Seniors, need your 2 minutes here. Please HELP🥺. Recently I joined Wipro, and they are telling there will be again a interview with client, I am scared now. What kind of questions can be asked? Is it too difficult to crack? What if they won't select me? 3 YOE, java full stack developer.
Hello guys, which band& role will be offered in Wipro for 3.5 YOE in iT, relevant 2.7 in devops Would they offer PROJECT ENGINEER with B1 band or ASSOCIATE PROJECT ENGINEER with A1 band. Is there any person offered as PROJECT ENGINEER with B2 band
What happens if big ideas come up against sometimes harsh operational and engineering realities? Did you learn any lessons in this regard when attempting to bring the ambitious project Marcel to life?
Staffed on a project beginning the 17th but still haven’t heard if it requires travel. If it does, this would be my first time away from my 1.5 year old 😭
Anyone on a project in STL?
MBB Consultants and Managers - how many “free” weeknights (work done by 6 pm, M-Th) do you have on avg per week on your current project? 0? 2? 4? Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company Bain & Company
Our team was about to get a new manager but when an exec mentioned her name to the client, the client said she heard bad things about her and would prefer them not on the team. Anyone hear of that b4?
Joined EY India a few months ago in tech consulting and have been working 12 hrs a day + 4-5 hrs on weekends and official holidays too. My project has literally 2 people (1 technical ie Me) and I'm myself new to the technology. I'm expected to make magic happen out of thin air and I don't know how I'm gonna survive here. Any advice?
Why I love being in industry: I presented a deck and I misspelled "EBITDA" in the exec summary while presenting to the exec team. No one noticed. No one called me out. No one gave me a nasty glance. No one sent a "pls call my mobile" text after. No email with some stuff about "not meeting expectations" or "how could you let this happen in your role". After the wave of panic, I remembered that I'm in industry now. I make more money, work less hours, work with great people, I'm happy.
How do I go about finding a client side position? I am ready to get out advertising, but I feel unsure of where to look/how to find something outside.
I had a short fling with someone from my project team over a year ago that just kind of faded out when I wrapped up. He stayed in the account and I just ended up back there (cont.)
At Accenture changing from internal analyst role to a senior analyst in digital & client facing.I am always worried about being a female and salary. What should I negotiate and expect for pay?
Types of jobs for someone looking for flexible, remote work with minimal to no travel. I like routine work and am not totally opposed to “boring”. No client facing jobs. Looking for a $80k+ salary range in a low/medium-low cost of labor area. Currently S1. I’ve been scanning IA jobs but they’re either not remote or the ad says something weird like “enjoys working with clients”. Is IA my best bet? Not sure if there are some other good search terms out there I could be missing?

I just accepted an offer at another big4 and I feel so blessed to be making $130k in LOCL as a 23 year old with less than 1.25 YOE. And I find it funny that I'm gonna be "senior" consultant/associate at my age and YOE. I don't know jack shit, and will completely understand if my clients/senior peers don't give me any respect at all. Thank you covid and the great resignation for this wonderous and hilarious opportunity.
Do people at KPMG know what KPMG stands for?
My favorite consulting activity: canceling meetings.
Anyone here takes their hobbies with them when travelling? I take my guitar with me every week. Another coworker takes his ps4.
You know you've been assimilated into the job when you feel most comfortable, loved, and at home at the airlines club lounge.
People who make 250K+ - do you still feel like you need / want more? Do you have a number in mind that you think is enough? Do you think you will need more when you reach it?
ATK' head of Americas sent a letter condemning Trump's EO and sayings we won't support it. Really proud to be with ATK today.
