Been thinking of getting the Mustang Mach E. There’s a $7,500 tax credit on the car and it’s pretty enticing. For all you electric car owners, how much do you guys pay for car insurance?

I have 2 PHEVs my insurance cost is no different than for gas cars. I heard there was a long wait for the Mach E. Everything I have heard about it has been very positive.

Just don’t want expect to get the car for MSRP. The dealers are seriously jacking up the prices with “market adjustments” for as much as 15-20k. That’s the reality of selling your cars through third party dealerships that you can’t control.

And the reality of government subsidies. See college tuition as an example.

Also keep in mind that tax credit is non-refundable, i.e. it can only offset your tax liability by $7,500 until you hit zero.

What you’ve already paid is not necessarily your ultimate tax liability. You’ll determine the final amount of liability when you prepare and file your 2021 federal return.

I cannot support them using the mustang name for this. Nothing against EVs but they should have used any other name. Use it to revive something cool that’s been discontinued for a while.

A lot of folks, this bowl included, are getting a reality check at the moment, which i think is good for learning experiences. Can’t call yourself an “investor” but the second you see a position fall +20-30% start to question or panic sell. However, if this is you, and your equity position was initiated off a whim or a blind recommendation, I struggle to feel any sympathy lol especially if you were someone buying stocks (MGNI for example) when they were approaching ATH

Anyone else feel obligated to take family/friend referrals to healthcare providers? My brother is a dentist and, in light of some work I need done, said "hey! Go to so-and-so at such-and-such. He's a friend and really great." And I'm sure he IS really great, but I love my dentist and don't feel a need to switch. But my brother has already told his friend to expect me.

I know I’m not the only one burned out on insurance. Has anyone thought of moving into a different career? If so, what?

Per what I'm reading the interest rate is 9.62% if I buy through Oct 2022. It's a 30 year investment, but I can withdraw after 5 years without 3 month penalty.

Questions:
(1) Is the interest rate fixed or variable over the term of the bond?
(2) Assuming 9.62% is annual return but definitely want to confirm 🤣
(3) Do most people actually keep it in 30 years? I'm looking at 5 years for now and re-assess
