I would disqualify you if I saw you went and got 2 mba's,
Yes to get an MBB offer you need at least two MBAs, usually three. Keep studying
I think the executive mba would make even less sense. I would focus more on networking my way in than trying through unnecessary degrees
I am all for networking but somehow I have felt that MBB are averse to even considering you unless you are from a top b school. That said - anyone from mbb willing to meet over a coffee and network?
No worries - gotchya. Good luck!
You need to have three(minimum two) Partners from an office to sponsor you and thump the table to make a case for you. If you have strong industry expertise that may help Partners explain the need to recruiting. Still breaking those 2-3 Partners is a task in itself. You need to network really hard and need to have a clear value prop. around what you bring to the table. I think your best best would be to show strong industry expertise( if thats the case) and try to get hired as a practice consultant.
Rofl Accenture 2!
A lot of the top 20 MBA programs won't let you do the program if you already have an MBA
What is MBb?
McKinsey, Bain, BCG or Management (Consulting) Bulge Bracket depending on who you ask.
EY1 - I heard that too hence was looking to see what else can be done ?
PhD or specialized Masters from a top 10. I don't think you can do 2 MBAs...that seems silly
Will it make more sense if the next MBA was an executive MBA ?
I would suggest if you want to join MBB to become a SME in a strategy function that is in high demand.
OP, I think your head is in the right place but execution not so much. Instead of trying to lure MBB-er's in on FB try scanning thru LinkedIn see if you have mutual connections with anyone and start there. Not trying to rain on your parade but I went thru this exact process and interviewed with one of the MBB firms by using my contacts via LinkedIn.
^ it was polite question that caused no harm to anyone ! Not trying to lure anyone , but since this is a professional platform as well, there is no harm trying . I have been trying the LinkedIn way too. Thanks for the advice .
