Been with big4 since 4 years now ,M1,want to switch to mbb, got an MBA very early in my career so the school is average.Will I need another MBA to make the switch?anything else to ease the transition?

A lot of the top 20 MBA programs won't let you do the program if you already have an MBA

McKinsey, Bain, BCG or Management (Consulting) Bulge Bracket depending on who you ask.

EY1 - I heard that too hence was looking to see what else can be done ?

I would disqualify you if I saw you went and got 2 mba's,

PhD or specialized Masters from a top 10. I don't think you can do 2 MBAs...that seems silly

Will it make more sense if the next MBA was an executive MBA ?

I would suggest if you want to join MBB to become a SME in a strategy function that is in high demand.

I think the executive mba would make even less sense. I would focus more on networking my way in than trying through unnecessary degrees

I am all for networking but somehow I have felt that MBB are averse to even considering you unless you are from a top b school. That said - anyone from mbb willing to meet over a coffee and network?

OP, I think your head is in the right place but execution not so much. Instead of trying to lure MBB-er's in on FB try scanning thru LinkedIn see if you have mutual connections with anyone and start there. Not trying to rain on your parade but I went thru this exact process and interviewed with one of the MBB firms by using my contacts via LinkedIn.
