You're so lucky! I've tried freelancing many times without success
Freelancing is the way. It was rough to get going at the start, but I've been able to raise my rates so much and work with some incredible clients.
The dynamic between freelancer and client is SO much healthier than the one between boss and employee. I'm glad I get to be more selective about my rates and the people I choose to work with.
I'm so grateful COVID forced me to look into online freelancing. I probably would've been slaving away at a traditional job, begging to get a tiny raise for years. This year alone I went from charging $20/hr to $40/hr. How crazy is that!?
That's been my favorite part of freelancing, feeling like I get paid what my work is worth and having no one undermining my skills
This is so inspiring and came at a perfect time. I really dislike the company I work for and have been considering quitting to freelance for awhile. It's intimidating, but I think it's time. Thank you for posting this reminder that other options are out there.
Do you have examples of the projects you work on? Or what a good starting point may be in terms of what you offer?
