Befor Covid, were any of you working moms who had to travel? I’m in audit and I’m so nervous about having kids and having to spend the night away from them when they are little.

It will be hard in the beginning, but eventually you’ll start to enjoy it, think of it as a break. I love nothing more than my 1-2 nights away periodically, with room service, uninterrupted Netflix, showers, etc.... plus it makes everyone at home appreciate you more!

So the first time I had to travel I took him with me and brought my mom (I was nursing so it just made sense). Afterwards it got easier and quite frankly work travel was a nice get away from mommy responsibilities. Of course I was only traveling once a quarter for about 2-3 night only.

I feel like I could do that! But I know managers who travel like 2-3 days per week consistently and I don’t think I could do that though

I travelled a night or two once every 2-3 weeks. If possible, I found ways to turn overnight trips into day trips, but those were rough. The longest I had to be gone was 3 nights.

Do any other women go batshit crazy when you have a new potential love interest? I.e. extensive social media research, turning it over and over in your head to gauge various scenarios, over analyzing compatibility from their traits and various scenarios? I can chalk some of it up to COVID boredom since I wasn’t this crazy when I had stuff to do, but some overthinking has always been there.
