Before interviewing for an entry level role at a well known agency, the recruiter mentioned the salary in case it is a non-starter.

It’s 10% lower than current TC… is there usually wiggle room here?

Will I be beat out by others willing to take it?

This opportunity seems too good to pass up but don’t want to have regrets if I leave since I’m not unhappy per se. What’s the best position that mixes business and data science together? I like the technical aspect of DS (coding, algos, models..etc) but I don’t see myself being super technical. Context: I've been at my agency for over three years (five and half years total since I'm a boomerang), leading the strategy team for a high growth and high pride account for two of those years. My agency has generously increased my salary by $4k last year and gave me spot bonuses totalling $6k to recognize my hard work, but I'm still on the lower end of the salary range for my title (under $130k) and not matching the rate of inflation for NYC. Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. Why has it become so normal to ask for “homework”? I work 60-70 hour weeks on average I don’t have time to give you free work just so you can consider me for a job.

What’s the general consensus:

When a company throws up the exact same job post that has appeared before and is still live (and potentially even exists in multiples beyond just two), should this be taken as an indicator that there is more than one opportunity for a given role, or is this essentially the LinkedIn recruitment version of “bump?”
