I told a former legal intern I could write two recommendation letters for them and realized this morning that I’d missed the deadlines for submission on different days earlier this week. A close neighbor died after a long illness this week and it hit me harder than expected as I’ve been trying to process all of the losses so many people have suffered over the past year and a half. Should I let the former intern know or reach out to the companies and try to submit the letters late first?
Hi all potential future interns! so since some agencies don’t let you know you if you didn’t get their internship/ no open spots left, let’s tell each other what agencies have responded or (cont.)
I just finished an art direction internship in LA I’m and looking for what’s next. I’m happy to stay in LA or move to NYC. Any leads would be appreciated!
This week we dive into the book of our awesome Summer Intern, Summer Campbell. Check it out. She’s currently looking for a designer/art director J.O.B. https://youtu.be/tQcbQdn64BA
My CDs and ACD have taken something my other intern partner and I created and passed it off as their own work. Normally I'd be cool with it, but the applause they're getting is for connecting with poc
From intern to senior creative in 3 years. I just don’t buy it. I know titles don’t mean shit, but what’s up with the inflation?
Been thinking about my “career” 12 years Art Director. I love this business because I love human nature. Turning people on etc. Thinking of switching to strategy. Advice? I’m in LA, internship me? Jr?
Advice please, especially if you hire. Going to law school and choosing between UPenn law and Michigan law. Scholarship at Michigan and will graduate with about 90,000 less in debt from Michigan. But Upenn ranked slightly higher and better in the fields I am interested in. Also have a family. So better chance of finding an internship in philly where I don't have to leave my family during the summer. Also thinking about going into politics or back into consulting.
Out of curiosity, when do people take internship experience off their resume (in terms of years after college graduation)?
Any tips on how to turn my summer internship into a full time offer? Been trying to get on as many engagements as possible but it's difficult with how slow it is during the summer.
This is how life feels for me right now trying to get a foot into IP/data privacy law: Me, with a JD: Please let me work for you for free (i.e. internship) Company/firm: You are not good enough.

I just started working at a Digital Strategy Consulting Boutique firm but the company is in Europe and we work in another language entirely. I started off as an intern (8 months) and now I am working full time. I am trying to learn the language to be more interactive with the clients and in the meetings but it's super difficult. Should I switch or learn the language and stay here for another year? It's a small firm and the pay is not that great but good for beginners in the country. Any advice?
Hey strategists, what’s something you would love an intern to provide you with or something they have done that made your life a little easier? (Cont.)
I’m looking at changing careers from screenwriting to copywriting. How likely am I to get an internship/job at a good company without going to portfolio school? Or is portfolio school 100% necessary in order to land at the upper echelon agencies?
Second day of assurance intern training (AFIBR) and we are absolutely flying through the material. There is no way I am going to retain very much of this in an actionable way. How fucked am I?
Some brief background, I graduated with my Bachelor's in IS and accepted a position at PwC in risk assurance (IT audit). I hope to get the cisa this year. I was curious what my exit ops are. I know typically it's industry IT audit. But curious about other lines of service, either at PwC or another big4. Do I need a CPA to work in other lines of service and what should I focus on to transition as soon as possible? Thanks in advance
Any f 🐠 in NY/NJ up for a drink tonight? Not looking for anything - just casually hang out as friends. M30. Neurotic about covid measures (I sanitize everything!)
I have an exit offer to a major PharmaCo, really excited about the offer and company in another state. The problem is that the start date is right when my wife is due with our first child. Normally nbd, but we just found out that my wife has developed a heart condition because of the pregnancy. OBGYN and Cardiologist both have said that it would be ultra high risk for to move before the baby comes and will be safe 1-2month after. Tips moving the start date without getting the offer pulled?
Anyone have any suggestions for accounting, finance, or data analysis books or online material to prepare for an MBA? I’m accepted to LBS but my background is in entrepreneurship so I know a lot of random stuff but I want to be prepared for the required core courses.
I have a lot of CSR points right now. Why should I not use them for the Pay Yourself Back? Can I actually redeem for more value on something else? I’m trying to understand TPG, but it’s not super clear.
Got laid off in October, been looking for a full-time gig since. Any helpful feedback is appreciated: www.joshdweiss.com

My firm doesn't have a set maternity/paternity leave policy at my firm and I'm trying to get an idea of what types of policies mid-sized firms in New Jersey offer to their employees. How many weeks of paid time by the firm (not FMLA) is the norm?
Mom here with one kid, looking for a reliable and low maintenance car. Would a Tesla 3 be a good choice? I had a bad accident and I am traumatized to drive since then :( also, hesitating with an SUV like the Audi
Why’s it called FAANG and not like FAMAG or something? In my opinion I hardly ever find anyone who’s able to switch into Netflix whereas Microsoft is still a top tier tech firm and is always hiring undergrads and even non tech folks

Hi. Does anyone know the policy for reapplying to Deloitte? I failed the preliminary coding interview and I don't know the exact time period to wait before I can reapply for jobs at Deloitte.
Do you ever wish you get fired?
I feel like using star method in interviews in overrated. I stopped using STAR and finally started to get offers. It’s better to be genuine and let the conversation flow than to stick to a structure. Thoughts? Maybe I just got lucky.
Family of 8 in the Group 1 line. Leaves the line and tries to board with Global Services. Gets denied. Appears they boarded with group 3 or 4. How does that happen?
I’m social media drained. I can’t keep up with all you 25 year olds who have $500k in savings, perfect bodies and skin, no student debt, manager-level jobs in tech and MBB, tons of friends and partners/spouses who love them. I’m out for a while ✌️
