Being a technical PM feels like I have less ownership.
All decision making is done in the presence of engineering and data science. In addition to that there is another PM that actually leads the UI of our overall application so often times they are the ones directly interacting with a user and giving us requirements very much in a waterfall way. Is this the nature of technical product management or there’s something that I’m not doing right?

I have really been working on myself to start dating and I met someone who seemed pretty cool, but within two dates dropped some massive baggage. His ex was pregnant and it turned out after it was born he found out it wasn’t his. Hey all, I'm a Product Manager 9 months into a Big4 consulting manager role. I've come to the conclusion that although I can succeed in consulting, my preference is to own the roadmap and have a larger influence on the 'what' for a product instead of offering recommendations and executing on another PMs backlog. I meet all criteria with the exception of having “led a team” and “have shipped at least 1 product” Is this over before it even started? What can I do/answer to overcome this? I am 2 years into product as my first job. I have a new manager (former lawyer!?) who micromanages everything I do - including stylistic changes to my user stories. I tried having an open conversation with him and now he starts every call with “I am not telling you what and how to do but do x“. Any advice please? I'm being asked to be involved in product pricing for the first time, and lack any knowledge or experience in that area. Any suggestions on courses or books or websites? I'm considering the Pragmatic Marketing pricing course, so would be interested to hear from anyone who has taken it.

Has anyone got a good examples of a PM resume? My background is in consulting and my resume was project based. Now that I’m a PM, I’m unsure how to structure it. At moment I’ve listed my current job with 4/5 bullets, then my previous consulting job with 4 projects listed beneath with 4 bullets per project. Any thoughts or advice?
