Let’s discuss gender pay gaps by assessing our own discrepancies. I’ll start. I’m a 29 YO female, almost 6 years experience total, at a 115 base, guaranteed 126 if I meet utilization, with potential for more bonus. No target school or MBA. I’m happy with where I’m at, but are my male counterparts on here making more or relatively the same?
I have come to mind blowing conclusion that most work is not actually hard unless it’s a PhD level role, which then led to a question on why undergrad is so damn hard? Yes, I am the pikachu meme
Got an interview for a non-Tech role at Amazon Prime Video (data and insight). Anyone have any experience with the interviews for these roles at FAANG?
Hello Fishes, Hope you all are great! I need a referral in PwC India, PwC. Anybody who would be kind to volunteer? I would be grateful. Thank you.
Considering switching as a 5th year from a small litigation practice to transactional role at a different firm. The new firm has stated there will be no litigation. 90% of my current work is cases which a partner is the primary attorney so they will have to figure it out if I leave (I’ll give proper notice). However, I have a small number (10-15) of active cases which are my own. What is the protocol for telling my clients I’m leaving and can’t take them with me?
I’m a mid-level working in a niche area in NYC. I like the work I do, put in long hours, high quality work, take time to mentor juniors, etc. I see myself at a law firm long term but now wondering if this is the right firm to make partner. Among others, one big concern I have is the non-existent emphasis on diversity and inclusion initiatives (they aren’t even pretending to care...), no committees, no statements in support of POC, etc. How do I find firms really committed to these issues?
I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)
Can anyone speak on the diversity at Alverez & Marsal? Thinking about joining but it seems very homogeneous which I guess isn't too different from other consulting firms.

Did you know? “Women receive ‘negative personality criticism’, such as being called bossy or told to ‘watch their tone’ in around 75% of performance reviews. Men, on the other hand, rarely do.” From https://cultureplusconsulting.com/2018/03/10/gender-bias-work-assertiveness-double-bind/
Parents are deciding between moving to WVirginia vs Virginia for retirement to be closer to us based in fairfax, va(ideally be at 1 hour driving distance). They currently in the mid west but WVirginia appeals to them because of low taxes, low cost of living. We are also poc so appreciate some diversity. What are some areas you would recommend both in Va and WV? What else should they consider prior to house hunting? Dad likes to garden/farm as well so looking for homes with large backyards. Tia!

Would you take a new job with a 50% pay raise if you’re uninterested in the clients you’d work with? Is the money > interests at that point?
I have an interview scheduled in 2 weeks for a strategy consultant role. I never had a phone screen or interview with HR but the call is set with 2 managers, consultant, and a director level. What do you think of this in terms of how long the process might be?

I was just offered a position with a non-profit organization. It’ll be a great transition from my current fellowship, and I’m super excited about the offer. Now here’s the catch, I haven’t accepted yet, but I am also applying for clerkship with a federal judge. If offered the judicial clerkship, I’d want to happily and eagerly accept. What is the professional way to accept the current offer and possibly leave if offered the clerkship? If it helps, this will be my second post-graduate position.
I'm hiring for two roles in Detroit @ Campbell Ewald, media side. Paid Social Sr. Strategist and Prog/OLA Sr. Strategist. HMU for details if you or anyone you know is interested. Great client!

Hey all! I’m fairly new to Talent Acquisition (6 months), but love the work and I’ve excelled so far. I have 10 years experience in education/Ed leadership prior. In the switch, I low balled my salary not knowing what to expect, so I’m thinking of looking elsewhere (even though I love my company). Looking for closer to 115/120k with equity and/or bonus options. Advice? Thoughts? Leads ?
Considering a move from Delivery side of consulting to the Sales side (i.e. selling work, RFPs, opportunity/deal conversion). Been in delivery for over 20 years and feel I need a change. I get to "test drive" the role and do it for a year. Any one been on the Sales side and Delivery side for a time and have an opinion and why they like one over the other? Thanks!
