Dear Partners - Excuse if already being asked (I spent reasonable effort to re-use through 'search') I'm a 3rd year M pursuing an SM promo. I believe I'm doing well in my current role, and also believe I could do more. Could you help me with these Qs : 1. What can I do to ensure I'm an EFFECTIVE M3 2. What does a EFFICIENT SM1/SM2 look like for you? 3. At this stage I am in, what can I do to make my SM promo a REASONABLE "shoo in"? I'm working with key PPMDs on my promotion readiness. Thx!
#Deloitte USI Requisition ID: E21 Function: Consulting Any idea on what position they are actually hiring for? Does E21 signify anything specific to the role/designation?

Debating if I should take up a Mck lateral EM offer vs a Director level IC role in F500 in an industry I was before getting my MBA? TC is similar between the two offer, but trying to see what are other factors I should use to evaluate the two offers? For context, I am a manager at B4 and targeting SM promotion by 2022-2023 - so not taking any offers is also a viable option.
Is anyone following this post about men not wanting to coach women because they’re afraid of false accusations? I’m very disheartened because I already face gender bias in a very competitive cont.

“Diversity: Is The (Production) Industry Doing Enough?” https://shots.net/news/view/diversity-is-the-industry-doing-enough
Can we talk about the “Rise & Grind” / “Hustle Culture” aspect that seems to be organically baked into our role as Producers. Of course, it is what it is to some degree- but I’ve realized, in order to do my job effectively, my rest & work-life balance is a MUST. How have you handled that? Or do you just power through?
I’m a recent grad who’s been working as a junior commodities broker for 4 months now. Although it’s not bad, I don’t see myself working here for much longer and I also plan to emigrate next year. At the moment I’m confined to execution trading and a boat load of back office grunt work (I’m told will stand to me). Need help w exit ops/ideas. I would like to go into strategy consulting/ financial advisory? Any tips on how I should go about it. Should I just restart & apply to 2022 grad programs ?

For those of you living alone, how are you keeping yourself entertained during social distancing? I’m hundreds of miles from my family and the loneliness is starting to get really hard. Zoom/FaceTime calls seem to make the feeling worse, not better. I just feel so isolated. I’ve gone for some outdoor walks with a friend who lives nearby, but otherwise I go weeks without in-person interactions. Any suggestions?

Being the only expert around? Hey everyone, I’m looking to head in-house in the next 12 months, but I work in a specialized area with v few openings. I just noticed a job posting for a senior counsel role at a startup. This would be my first in-house role so I was wondering if anyone could speak to their experience as the only expert/specialist in their area at a company? Recognize it’s a massive growth opportunity but also scared of the big jump in responsibility/no safety net.
