The only “elite” one worth having is Chase Sapphire Reserve. It’s better than Amex Plat. Also get the Chase Freedom and Freedom Unlimited and rotate their usage to net the most points. You can then transfer points to CSR and redeem at a1.5-2x rate. CSR = 3% for Travel and Dining Freedom = 5% rotating categories Freedom Unlimited = 1.5% on everything else

You don’t need even close to 800+ for CSR btw. They dish it out like candy if you’re 700 plus with a solid job (most on this app I imagine)

Citi double cash is top of the line if you prefer cash back. 2% on everything. I use the price rewind a lot too. No annual fee. Only downside is it has a 3% international fee

850. Literally don’t need any more credit. Also, don’t get a CSR if you spend all your money on amazon. Get the amazon visa. I spend like $20k a year on amazon.

Do you negotiate salary upfront in the interview process or after you get an offer? Base salary for initial position seemed lower than expectation but think I can negotiate if I get an offer.

Interview story: I was hired on the spot at an agreed upon verbal offer of $90,000. The partner told me to put in my two weeks notice. It’s a good thing that I did not do that l, as the company called me back the next day and informed me that they were lowering their offer to $75,000. Moral of the story: get it in writing.

Canadian 🐟 who have moved back to Canada, what is the best way to handle your 401k, Roth IRA, Plain old brokerage account, and bank accounts? I would personally like to not touch any of these and let them to do their thing in the US till I need the money, but I also want to avoid double taxation on all of these

New grad here. Anyone have a Chase Sapphire card? I’m interested in the benefits and rewards, but am unsure of whether it make sense to open a new card right now especially given the WFH/no travel situation. I currently have a Discover Card (was told it was good for students) and I pay everything off automatically and in full.

Do you lose unemployment benefits after you receive a job offer but before you start? I know it may vary by state, but haven't found anything specific (MA). They ask if you have an offer, and I know looking for a job is a requirement to receive benefits, so wondering if saying I have an offer and no longer looking would disqualify me.

Just got dumped by someone I started seeing that I'm really into. He said he doesn't feel that I'm emotionally committed to him. The truth is I am, I was googling how to tell if you're in love before he broke it off with me. I am very good at controlling my emotion but that doesn't mean I don't have emotion. Apparently not constantly messaging him, wanting to know where he is, being clingy means I'm not emotionally invested. Time to adopt kittens.

I have struggled for the last 5 years to find a really good hair stylist. I have blonde fine curly hair. Every place I go doesn’t seem to listen to me that my hair processes very quickly and I end up getting over processed. I’ve taken 7 months off doing anything with my hair because during COVID why do you need to! Anyone in the Chicago/Chicagoland area know of a good stylist or color corrective stylist that can help my hair get back to what it used to be?? TIA

I cry more than I eat and the only thing I have energy to do is go to work. I know I need treatment, but making appointments and showing up are too much. My apartment is beyond disgusting and I have NO IDEA when I’m going to clean. This is all up fo me, but I would also prefer to die than try to pick up the pieces. I am not suicidal but I want to die more than I want to live. Just needed to vent.
