How does Industry X and McKinsey Wave stack up in terms of comp and benefits relative to the rest of their orgs? I’m in talks with both and have calls this week where comp will be discussed. Both are delivery roles which I enjoy but want to be prepared when the topic comes up.

I have my review coming up and I was invited to bring comments about my job satisfaction/comments about the firm. We don’t have a clear maternity leave policy so I was thinking of saying that I’d like to see some clarity with respect to the maternity/family leave policy and I’d be happy to help craft it. I am interviewing for Benefits Specialist positions currently. What do you say when a hiring manager or recruiter asks what you made in your last position? On top of that I have been asked what my salary range is for the position I am interested in. This is during the initial phone interview. I expect the company to tell me the range for the position. I have found they are asking range before they tell me the range. I have done research for market rate and answer with the range I researched.

I just started this job a month ago with an IT startup. And it’s not going as I had hoped. Does any one else feel that this is more of an Indian consultants bowl than a desi consultants bowl.
