Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Korn Ferry - 20 weeks of 100% pay with the ability to use additional PTO or unpaid leave, up to your discretion.
Newly added miscarriage leave, a few days in first tri and case-by-case beyond.
Paternity and adoption leave as well, unsure of how long.

That's an awesome and inspiring story. I'm assuming you're at a mid size or smaller firm? I feel like the big shops would be resistant to change

Currently on week 14 of 26, 100% paid as a birthing parent. 6 weeks of disability, 16 weeks of family leave, 4 weeks of PTO.

you can take as much as will be approved, honestly. 24 is the max without “leadership approval” — my 26 was approved by my primary partner. And I know a handful of people who have taken up to 30, all paid / using PTO. The only benefits-covered portion is 16 weeks of family leave, and 6-8 weeks of disability.

Netflix has a year if you're lucky enough to get a job there. Other tech firms have 6 months like Microsoft. Kpmg and all the big 4, iirc, have 4 months
Just had our 👶🏽 last month. I'm on PTO through October, then I'll be taking my 16 weeks when mom's leave ends in the spring. I'll still accrue my normal pto, so I may take even more time in the summer.
Does EY have parental leave for the non-pregnant spouse (for the person that doesn’t work at EY)?
SC2 - that would be awesome, but no I don’t think so
would suggest checking not just how much parental leave there is but also how they support their employees during pregnancy like first and second trimester and right up to delivery when there are so many things to do to prepare the body and house and family etc. - and also how they work with their employees after their parental leave is over and they come back - they have a small baby to take care of and feed so they still need support.
