My old firm gave us Custom AirPods and custom converse.

Kirkland really likes its swanky branded outerwear. Basically all of my nicest pullovers or windbreakers are from Kirkland. I'm a fan because I don't buy that stuff for myself. I kind of have a mental block when it comes to spending up on clothes.

Extra paid time off when I needed it without hassling me when I had family emergencies. Other than that, I haven’t cared for any of the gifts they’ve given (Northface jacket, umbrella, case of beer (though was a nice touch), chocolate, gift cards to local stores and eateries)

I got a super soft firm branded blanket one winter, which I loved but my dog commandeered. This year we got firm branded backpacks, which are actually super nice. My boss got me a super cool bracelet that is totally my style, but the clasp is very precarious, so I never wear it because I’m afraid I’ll lose it.

I received an Amazon gift card as part of our white elephant party.

I literally have only received a bottle opener one year. Besides that, nothing smh.

When my old boss was incapable of saying anything to me after I gave notice. Old firm has branded gifts for retreats, a blanket, a tumbler/flask, a boxed card game set, I liked them. Also appreciated the annual mug that changed for each anniversary.

I love some good local food. Pastries, bread, cheese, etc. Stuff I would never buy for myself.

Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me what you make as a typical banquet/events manager for salary or per hour? I’ve worked for Marriott/Bonvoy at the Ritz and for the Curio Collection with Hilton as a bartender/server/banquets captain. Now I’m working for a privately owned hotel and as a manager role in Banquets/Events. Because of pandemic times, what is everyone else making?

Is it normal for my psychiatrist to ask to schedule an appointment to lower the dose of my Ritalin XR prescription?

I’ve been on the same dose the past few months but recently it’s been causing a pretty bad crash for me so I wanted to lower it. Why the hell do I need to pay $60 for 10m of her time to prescribe me a lower dose of the same meds?

I’m wondering if I’m overreacting, or she’s purposefully trying to just get paid more

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?

Friday checkin!! How’s everyone doing? It’s finally pool weather in texas which is a big drinking trigger for me but also a big positive. I love being in the sun. It recharges me. I love to swim, float, listen to audiobooks or rock out to music in the pool. Throw a meat on the grill, peel a salad. I feel healthy and recharged and the Claws compliment the day well. Tricks me into thinking I can drink healthy.
