Anyone worked at multiple FAANG companies? I’m trying to choose between 2 and can’t decide.
How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.
YOE: 5 years
Tech stack: .NET backend and sql server
Language I'm comfortable with: C#

Seeking mentor at Principal Product Manager level from FAANG companies who can guide me to in my path to get into these companies
What level should I expect at FAANG? I have a PhD in CS from a world top 10 university. I did a PhD after working 3 years in the industry, and since my PhD, another 3 years have passed. Currently I'm a staff engineer in the semiconductor industry (hence no FAANG). On seniority: 50% I'm acting tech & team lead, scrum master, regularly negotiating with stakeholders, across multiple teams etc., 50% actively developing. Options: generalist SWE at Google /Facebook (Meta) or embedded SWE at Meta.
I feel like Facebook needs to be removed from “FAANG” status and replaced with Salesforce, SAANG, or some other arrangement of the letters. Does anyone else feel this way?
Hi all - any tips/what are some Do’s and Don’ts for in-house interviews for big NASDAQ or FAANG companies? TIA!
People working in Amazon AWS (especially sales development or lead development rep):
- how’s the culture like in AWS?
- is it a stressful environment?
- what is the pay range from this role?
- how does career path looks like?
I’ve heard mixed reviews from people around me and want to hear from the community how you all feel? Is it worth pursuing a role in FAANG or just go for unicorns and get career growth from there? (I just had my first round of interview with AWS today)

Question to the bowl -
I am working in Deloitte PMO Analyst with cumulative work ex 2.5 years. I want to move to Program Management in FAANG. But for all the posts I see work ex is more than 3 years with an MBA. So, Should I go for an MBA first or should I apply for the same roles. I am mainly aiming Amazon.
Is there a hierarchy within FAANG of which companies pay more/less? Why isn’t Microsoft part of FAANG instead of Netflix?
Everyone talks about FAANG and often times it seems like they mean “Google” or maybe fb/amazon. I never hear about Apple. What are consultant exits like there? Anyone know someone who made the jump?
People who are long FAANG, do any of the government lawsuits coming worry you(antitrust/monopoly, content, etc) as a long term shareholder? I figure most of these tech companies may get a slap on the wrist but understand the risks. Heck, most of these senators are invested in these companies and are they really going to break up companies like Amazon & Facebook? Seems like they would establish an extremely dangerous precedent
This FAANG folks aint playing. 350K Salary cap, whoosh!
Anyone have insight into FAANG R&D teams, eg Facebook Reality labs or equivalent? Considering exits from innovation consulting

I've decided to leave big law for what I think is a great in-house opportunity, but my firm is trying to convince me to stay. This of course has me second guessing my decision to move in-house, but I'm trying to focus on my long-term career goals and why I started job searching to begin with. Curious if others experienced this when giving notice and if so, how you handled it?

Thoughts of internal audit at big banks?
So I’m in the middle of completing my offer. Background check and drug testing are awaiting results. I’m putting in my two week notice tomorrow. Do I disclose where I’m going to next if those items haven’t cleared? I don’t have an official start date yet. I’m not worried about my results but anything can happen over the next two weeks. Don’t wanna put down a future employer without 100% certainty.
I know Big4 sucks, especially during busy season, but now is the time to join PwC!!! Crazy salaries increases are happening there right now!!!😂
Can I get some anecdotal FDD exit opps? I know it’s been asked before, hoping to get some more responses
Anyone work remote full time? What do you do? How do you like it? Did you have to take a pay cut / less than you would get otherwise?
If I have a consulting offer from a different Big 4 that has a start date post-10/15, so that in theory I would not have to submit a 2 weeks notice until post-10/1 (bonus payout date) but I sign the offer pre-9/30, am I obligated (looking for both legal & professional standpoint) to tell PwC because it is with a competitor? This is essentially the exact same group at the other big 4
Hi everyone, can somebody help me out with aquestion related to applying jobs at the current client that we are still in the middle of the audit? Am I allowed to apply without notifying my company?

Looking for a job $200k plus out of pwc. I’m a manager with over 6 years of experience in internal audit/sox compliance. Not sure I’ll stick to IA. Any ideas of companies and/or types of jobs?
Really interested in a job a recruiter brought me. However apparently the dept hiring and HR are now in conflict as HR wasn't notified the dept hired a recruiter and HR doesn't wanna pay the recruiter. Anyone experienced this?
Accepted an offer recently (last week) and haven’t heard back from the HR regarding a confirmed start date (we discussed dates but didn’t nail down in offer letter) or background check, is this stuff that normally takes time to get set up? Thanks
For your resume, how many bullet points under your XP with your firm straight out of college is too many? I’m a senior and don’t have anything else since college that’s relevant. Also, how do you feel about a small section above the bullets detailing the position (where the bullets are more about your achievements in the position)
Could anyone tell me the pay range for Citi bank internal audit for AVP level in UK? @citibank Citi
Has anyone here (or someone you know) made a move from Big 4 in the US to an industry job in the EU or UK? Obviously a transition would be a bit more complicated for now because of the pandemic, but curious to hear if anyone has experience making this kind of jump as a US citizen with a CPA.
can anyone please share info on Internal audit salary and career progression from associate onwards specifically in banking ?
Got an offer from Big4 as an audit senior for 110k, reasonable or should I negotiate? NYC
Law firms definitely pay well. Also, as far as public accounting firms, CohnReznick definitely pays well. If you’re looking for
a referral definitely feel free to message me, lol
There typically isn’t a need for someone in tax in such a specialized area at a law firm. At least in the internal tax department. If you’re going to be working with the lawyers structuring deals and all, then that’s a completely different department, one that I don’t know much about, and one that you’d need a JD for. My guess is that job would pay 250+ (you could probably negotiate for north of 3 if you were what they’re looking for and the firm is big enough), but I don’t think they’d consider anyone without a JD to work with the attorneys. If you’re looking to just work in a law firm’s internal tax department, you could probably still acclimate beautifully to this job (again, your M&A background probably isn’t necessary, but they just want smart people who are good with dealing with state and local tax issues and composite tax issues, dealing with tax authorities, etc.). There aren’t that many of those jobs but they can be very sweet if you can find them
Generally SaaS companies, they usually to give decent salaries along with some great equity.
Insurance company accountants are paid pretty well because it's pretty specialized. Still probably less than tech companies tho
You’re definitely right, I audited an insurance client for quite some time, but the technical aspects of it were so boring to me. Those guys deserve every penny 😂
Oil & gas companies tend to pay really well - you’ll also probably face regular layoff scares
Seriously, financial reporting team on one oil and gas company I know is only 7 people excluding the controller and CFO.
