Treasury i savings bonds, NRI account.
Options will vary based on your investment horizon and risk appetite.
Short term (1-2 yrs) and low risk: Treasury bonds are good.
Short term and super high risk: Bitcoin and Etherium are an option - you could lose most of your money with this, so when I say super high risk, I mean super high risk.
Long term (10+ years) and low risk: Dollar cost averaging with an S&P 500 index fund like FXAIX, VFIAX etc.
Long term and moderate risk: Dollar cost averaging with a Nasdaq index fund like QQQM.
Long term and high risk: Dollar cost averaging with a growth fund like TBCIX.
You can also invest in real estate but you’ll need a higher starting fund for that. I do not recommend REITs. They neither give you the benefits of owing real estate (leverage powered growth), nor do they give you the returns of a good index fund. Pointless for young people who are not looking for monthly income.
Good luck!
