Project Management

Besides PMP, what other professional development opportunities are out there for Director and VP levels? I'm researching organizational leadership and operations certificate and grad programs, too.

Following- I’ve heard time and time again PMP isn’t worth it. Currently managing around $15M. Any specific technologies or project types to get my hands on?

I have been a PM for many years. I would not get my PMP (or if I did I would not tell anyone about it unless an emergency!) I would focus on running larger programs. If you have managed $5M go for a $10M program. Switch to new technologies, go offshore and meet teams, experience new things. That is what I would do in my opinion.

Thank you! This just adds fuel to the fire of the to PMP or not PMP question! I've been pretty adamantly against it for a very long time. Recently though I wonder if it's inevitable. Thank you for giving me hope that I can avoid it because I have better real life experience.
