Working as a summer analyst in private wealth management this summer and just got a return offer at GS. Anyone have any experience with salaries, exit ops, etc. pressured between taking the return and looking for something with more optionality.

I’m 33 and recently joined a company at 200 k salary, 25% LTI and 50 k RSU. Initially, I was very happy abt it as I had received a pretty big jump from my previous base pay. Having said that, all the excitement has vanished now. It just feels like this pay is not good enough to get the big $1 m house I want, raise 2 kids etc. I’m the bread winner for my fam. I don’t want to sound ungrateful but the comp package is just not making me happy anymore…

The other is RIA Advisory which is a consultancy and service based organization.
Both are offering almost the same CTC.
RIA is offering one lakh more than the other.

1.Dir of Finance at a pre-clinical stage private company. Would be second G&A hire. Currently everything G&A is done by CFO. (no consultant)
2.Controller/Dir at a Phase 1 private company. Reports to CFO. Currently uses consultant for accounting
3.Dir of reporting and accounting (with a "promise" to promote to controller in 1 year) at commercial stage company planning to go SPAC IPO this year. Report to VP finance.

Hi All - I have 5 YOE, 3 Busy Seasons in Public and 2 Busy Seasons in Industry as a Hedge Fund Accountant in NYC. Can you please share the base salary I should be aiming for as I look to move to my next position as either a Senior Fund Accountant/ Assistant Controller? Currently paid 105K. Is it unrealistic to be asking for 130K or should I be aiming for more? I appreciate your input.

As an accounting major does it look bad to not have a cpa... really struggling. Mainly cause my heart just isn’t in it. I want to risk consulting or it assurance and potentially work towards my cisa. But since I have an accounting degree I feel as though it’s going be look down on if I don’t do my cpa.
