I've had to work with plenty of folks in my career like this (surgeons are pretty bad) and my thoughts are coming from the junior side. Best advice is to kinda just play into it and maybe butter em up a little bit. You can't change the way they act or think about themselves so it's not worth trying. That said, if you solicit their opinion likes it's made from gold you'll be in the clear. Whether you act on it or not.
