As a woman, I find the calls for Biden to name a Black woman VP and his pledge to select a woman very patronizing. It'd be better imo if he at least made the process publicly seem like he was weighing all candidates on their merits versus just checking a box, so the woman he selects would seem like they were picked based on credentials, even if he was planning to pick a woman the entire time.

Is rental market slowing down? My apartment used to be always full, but I am seeing some vacancies. They raised the price over 10% compared to last summer though.

I feel like there are talks of a “California Exodus” that happens every 10 years.

But with the pandemic, people’s loss of faith in CA politics, transplants moving back home, and people opting to move either to more suburban cities or out of state for cheaper housing options because they’ll be WFH permanently, do you guys think that this time around, a “California Exodus” actually has legs?

I was kind of forced to get out of retail when the pandemic hit so my only option at the time was to jump in to real estate as I already had my license. hey fishes! my fiance and i are gonna be making the move out to LA and would love some advice on neighborhoods and housing, as two people who don't know much of anything about LA.

- my new office is in the west adams neighborhood, so ideally we'd want to be within a half hour drive from there.
- we're looking to rent a house or bungalow if we can, our budget maxes out at about $3500/mo. is that feasible?
