Personally - no app but use excel. I like control and am slightly paranoid.

True - hence the paranoid comment. I import mine - just takes a few more clicks but the upside (for me) is that no one is sharing my password, etc. But yeah, doesn’t do it on its own - that is for sure

No house, no debts but likely buying next year. I know I am late to the game but what I see now are too many options… different IRAs, fundrise etc., buying rental properties, doubling down on sp500 etc. Trying to figure out how to prioritize and what makes sense.

Controversial take: someone suggested to me that some of the Big 4 are just using Covid as an excuse to fire people they wanted to before but did not want to go through the hassle or hurt reputation. Additional Posts in FIRE Financial Independence Retire Early

I am new to FIRE and though excited, am very worried that I’m too far behind. I was in non-profit for 4 years making $50K with a terrible 403b plan. I pivoted to industry then to consulting 2 years ago. I’m 32, my current base is $120K, I own my home, max out my 401k, have $10k credit card debt (no interest), and unfortunately was scammed by a real estate developer for $20K last month. Any advice to to get me going in the right direction?

New to FIRE - When you are evaluating your FI value, do you calc expected inflation and then include an estimated increase in insurance expense? Is there an easy trick to do this?

Ex. I’m 25 now and spend ~ $36,000k a year. and want to FIRE by age 50. Obviously a lot can change since I’m 25, but if I wanted to calc FI value at my same standard of living now and account for inflation and the insane cost of private health insurance for 10 years how would I do it?
