Office chair recs? Looking to upgrade
Those with WFH allowances (payment for hybrid working setup) what’s the best purchase you’ve made? Tempted to get a standing desk or second monitor
Recommendations for a not so expensive office chair? Prefer ergonomic/lumbar support type as I’ve recently been having neck pain due to bad posture 🙊 Thanks!
Hey beautiful people,
I’m 27Y and work in tech. Unfortunately my carpal tunnel is getting worst slowly. I’m worry that I still have like 45 years more to be retired and can’t stop working because I have a f* mortgage to pay 😭 I have a super ergonomic workstation, but I know my hand needs a long rest, and I can’t do it… Does anyone relate? What do you recommend?
Good morning, all. I look forward to chatting today. I thought I would open our conversation with a photo of my home office, which has gotten a lot more use in the last two weeks than ever before.
Best office chair for under $300?
Starting a new remote job where I'm offered $1k reimbursement for purchases towards my home office. I know this is a fairly common perk so I was wondering what everyone here has used that money towards. $1k could afford a couple great monitors or a pretty nice desk. What have you guys upgraded/bought?
Zoom WFH secrets: No one has figured out yet the big black box thing in the background of my home office is where hubby dries and trims his pot plants.
In search of a comfortable office chair that is still modern/stylish and $500 or below, any recs? Would appreciate links also, TIA!
Been needing an office chair for my home office. Is this a good deal? (Local marketplace)

Recommended home office color printers? Does not need to be all in one. Looking to print the occasional deck etc.
Anyone have any recommendations for “high” desk chairs that are also comfortable? I’m having nerve issues in my leg and I need my legs to mostly “hang” off and be more straight (instead of bent at the knee). Already have a standing desk which is great — just need something better so I can sit without being in pain
Any sub $300 office chair recommendations?

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Hiring an AE to sell data science consulting services and investor relation type services. We are a SaaS platform with a huge proprietary data set that gives us a competitive advantage. NYC based preferred. US preferred. Also looking for someone in Singapore to sell our SaaS product. They would lead the entire region.

Can someone that practices estate planning/probate discuss their day to day, and if you like it? I’ve been litigating for years and I hate it, and I was always interested in probate but I didn’t find any entry level opportunities when I got out and now 8 years later... here I am. I would love to transition into more transactional work... and just brainstorming on how to get there. Is an LLM necessary?
Anyone have any success lateraling from mid law to big law? Have any tips for a 4th year hoping to make that move?
Any tips for how to better implement feedback on drafts? My work is so heavily redlined that I struggle to consistently follow through with every comment/feedback. I am in patent prosecution, so it is a lot of detailed technical writing, but is also fairly formulaic, which is nice. Thankfully the partner I work with is extremely patient and a very good teacher, I would just like to be better at learning from his very thorough feedback.
Woukd you consider it a red flag to get an offer after only 1 interview with 2 founding partners? Or is that probably just a reflection of a busy lit firm with a full trial calendar in this current climate?
Can a firm require attorneys to bonus their support staff out of their own paychecks/bonuses?
My firm announced their making everyone come back to the office 3 times a week. I’m low key pissed about it. I make my billable hours. We already don’t get any vacation or sick time. The least they could do is let us bill our hours wherever we want. Work from home has made a work-life balance in this field somewhat attainable and now they want to take it away.
I checked my direct deposit and noticed I was given a significant raise. I have only been at the firm for 2 months and no one has talked to me about a raise. I triple checked it wasn’t a math error on my end. Is it possible I got a raise so quickly into a new job? Probably not, right? What should I do?
Has anyone waived into the NY Bar from California via D.C.? If so, I’d appreciate learning more about the process.
