When I ask my manager for advice about how to do something, he usually just tells me I'll "figure it out yourself." But when it comes down to it, he doesn't help me at all by doing that—he just makes me feel like an idiot. And then when I do figure it out myself and bring the answer back to him, he won't even look at it! He'll just say something like "Oh yeah, thank you," and give me another assignment.

I am being tapped to translate documents at work. I’ve done spot translation audits, and 1 larger Quality assurance document earlier this year, but was recently contacted about a potential large-scale translation initiative for next year.

It took me almost 13 years to make manager. It was due to cpa. I passed my exam and left for a manager title. I worked as a manager for about 4 years. Sometimes I feel like crap that it took me so long. But I make 140k and I think that’s reasonable for my YOE. I spent two years studying all the damn time after busy season. Idk I just want to quickly catch-up now and I don’t know how.

I’m trying really hard to stop beating myself up and judging my worth as a human based on mistakes I have made at work. It’s going but it’s really difficult as every mistake feels like the end of the world.
