W Amsterdam. In the middle of everything

like

Westin Vendôme in Paris. Great location and the best spg property for upgrades if you're platinum. The bel ami has a better location, but the rooms are quite small and it typically costs more points. The W is nice but avoid it based on location.

Don't know about bang for buck OP, but lived in Amsterdam for years and the Andaz is amazing. Awesome location and really beautiful.

Stayed at les dokhans in Paris. A little farther west (by the Eiffel Tower) but really pretty boutique Starwood hotel, and was like 10k points a night vs 18-25 everywhere else that looked good

like

Assuming you meant point redemption, Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris is the best value.

The bel ami is in a really great location and the service is great. Rooms are small but very nicely designed. Westin Vendome is in a good location too, but more for the louvre and center Paris. Don't stay at the Tribute collection hotels. Both of them are terrible. You can also stay at vernet which is super nice but a little more expensive Not a lot of options in Amsterdam so just go with the one near where you want to be

like

I didn't mind location of the W in Paris. Good takeoff point to walk a lot of places. I've also stayed at the Westin there and then there is a luxury collection property in the XIII but IMO, too touristy. Other times I've been to Paris, stayed at air bnb in Marias and Montemarte if you want a less touristy area (sorry I know one deviating from spg!). In Amsterdam I stayed at the luxury collection property with points which was quite nice for not many points!

like

Hotel du Louvre in Paris was very nice. Cheaper than park hyatt.

like

If price is a factor, Element Amsterdam is good option. A few minutes uber ride from the center square. Hotel felt new and staff was nice

like

Park Hyatt Vendome

like

Omg, do not stay at the Marriott Rive Gauche!!!! Terrible advice. Worst hotel I tried in Paris. I spend my project at the Merdien Etoile in Paris but it's nothing special, so if the point differential is not large, opt for one of the other recommendations above.

like

I stay at the Rive Gauche every year. And it's in a great neighborhood with lots of public transport options.

like

And the point difference is usually pretty large.

Thanks all!

We’re a boutique with a amazing team culture and really very interesting projects, great learning opportunities (aka we don’t get hired to take over tasks no one wants to do, we get hired to make a difference) + above average comp. Relocation is not necessary, as long as you’re in CET time zone and live close to an airport. DM me for more information! Cheers
