Why do some people say that the senior level at big tech (e.g., L6 at AWS) correlates to senior manager level at big 4? I get it from a comp perspective since comp is just that much higher. But from a scope/skills perspective, I find it hard to believe that L6 is closer to SM than it is to SC. Asking cause I have a senior level offer in big tech. Amazon, AWS, Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft
How important is it to get your CPA in the long run/ outside of big 4? Would CFE be beneficial? I’m a forensics staff.
Mini poll - Best firm among Tier 2: (also would be lovely to know why) 💜 - GT ❤️ - BDO 💚 - RSM
Anyone in big 4 considering making a switch at this point? I want to quit my job every day but the uncertainty due to covid keeps me from doing it.
Which of the big 4 + ACN pay the most for SAP?
Any big 4 🐠 recently ask to start the secondment process to London? Wanting to gauge how receptive the firms are right now
Anyone leave the big 4 to work for a smaller, less well known consulting firm? If so, did you like it and what were the pros and cons? Thinking of making a move, but weighing my options. Thanks!
This may sound odd but I want to eventually work at all the big 4. To me it'll be like collecting infinity stones. Once you work at all 4, what crappy super power do you get? Currently 25% of the way there
Partners in BIG 4: How is your leadership reacting to location changes requested by partners? My firm is struggling to keep the people back in major cities as partners wants to move to sunny areas with no taxes. I can see both sides of the argument but trying to figure where we are likely to land.
7 years of Consulting experience in Financial Services and currently a manager with a Big 4 . Experience includes Feasibility Assessments, CBAs, Program Management, SDLC (All phases),
I can't wait for the first zombie movie to go extra realistic and have a bunch of entry level hires at Big 4 firms complain that being eaten by a zombie is preferable to closing hair salons.
Do 9-5 jobs still exist? I plan to eventually leave the big 4 industry but I keep feeling discouraged about ever finding a job that has good work life balance.
How exactly would someone be terminated for cause in the big 4? Like does each partner get a vote based on number of shares? It’s not like there’s a central “boss” as per traditional companies.
How do some of the Big 4/ACN levels compare to job roles and titles at Amazon? I’m a manager within the Accenture Security practice with strong focus on security compliance and risk. Trying to see which Amazon non titles would be equivalent to or above my Accenture role. If someone has a career path (analyst, senior analyst, mgr, sr mgr, etc) that would be helpful.
What is the scope of legal managed services provided by Big 4? What is the future of this practice? Asking for a friend.
Anyone here works for IRS Seattle office? Looking to get out of B4. Currently a manager in investment tax. CPA, no law degree. Would like to get a general idea of how to approach the application process. Nothing seems to be open currently.

I’ve done really well in my 2 years with my current big 4 firm and am coming up for promotion in July. I am sitting on an offer with a step up in title and 40% pay increase. They say grass is not greener on the other side (hello unlimited PTO and all the other terrible comments I’ve read for new firm. Guess who 😂😅) but it’s hard to justify not moving. Am I making a huge mistake leaving behind my 2 year hard work going to the unknown or should I just go for it and take the pay and title!? Help.
Does Accenture’s 401K plan allow backdoor or mega backdoor? If so, whats the process look like?
Would you confront a senior leader on inappropriate behaviour yourself (remarks about gender and race) or would prefer your coach to do that? What would be the merits / consideration that you should factor in?
Since Covid happened, I keep seeing posts about people working longer hours from home than at office. Well has anyone actually achieved the opposite, which is working less hours? You save time on commuting, meaningless meetings, coffee breaks, random questions from coworkers, etc. This question doesn’t apply to parents with young kids.
Preping for an interview for MBB. I never know how to prepare for the “tell me about a time you failed” q. Can anyone offer best way to approach this and perhaps an example?
Thoughts on putting CISM of any other certificate on LinkedIn certificates after passing the exam but not getting the full experience requirements?
In July I missed my promo to SM. A woman has been preferred even if she was underqualified (my MD's words), as at Accenture we have quotas for women. I'm interviewing with Deloitte, they told me I'll help building the practice. In the meantime I was assured by my MD that in December I'll get the promo. I don't really care changing company, even if I've built a network, I don't think I need to wait if I can. Your thoughts?
My 401k is split between 3 funds - large cap growth, large company index, and total stock market index. 26 yo. Do I need to diversify or is this okay for now ?
How does an MHA look when applying to larger consulting firms (MBB,big4, etc.) ? I don’t have an MBA but I do have 2.5YOE in healthcare consulting and an MHA degree . Can I start out past the entry associate level?
How would you rank the non-MBB strategy shops? Including strategy “divisions” within larger firms
Considering applying to KKR capstone, any idea what TC looks like for associates? Base is ~150k according to H1b site
Does anyone know what our health insurance coverage is for a hands free breast pump (specifically Anthem BCBS)? I am looking at Elvie or Willow which retail around $450-500.

Starting full-time @ MBB this month. I’m really interested in recruiting growth equity (GE) at some point. I’m pretty familiar with PE recruiting but not sure how growth differs. Anyone have perspective on any of the following: 1- Does GE recruit on cycles? If so what is the typical timing? 2- Are modeling tests standard as part of the interview process? 3- How are consultants perceived in the industry? 4- Do large GE firms utilize headhunters? 5- Do large GE firms have operating roles?
Sitting on offer for $120k, excellent benefits and only 40-50% travel. 3+ YOE. How do those of you with families deal with the FOMO of that extra ~20% pay you could get at more like 80% travel?
Just moved to a city I don't quite like for an industry job (I like the job a lot), my goal is to move back to my old city to get together with family and friends. I would like to stay in the current company for 6 months before requesting the transfer, should I secure an offer first just in case the transfer request did not go through? Or start interviewing after the denied request?
