Hotel double charged me, called hotel - Fail. Called SPG - Fail. Should I call AMEX and dispute?
Someone is conducting a job interview during breakfast in the Marriott lounge. Everyone can hear the questions/answers. It's for a sales job. This is weird.
Just lost my 2nd H1b lottery. Have 1 year left on visa and 1 lottery left. Do any firms out there sponsor for Greencard before you have an H1b? Assuming it’d be very hard for me to get someone to sponsor me for H1b with only one year OPT left given the lottery, but maybe GC would be possible since it’s higher likelihood of approval?
Does anyone sign their emails at the end with their initials of their first and last name? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I've noticed quite a lot of people in the firm and at the client who do.
Interested in getting others perspective here. Senior consultant but received an offer in healthcare industry for more money and an upgraded title. TC for the offer is about a 25% increase, with the base being higher than my current TC. Currently working on a high profile client and have a decent chance of being promoted to manager next year but will probably go through hell this year to get it and it’s not a sure thing. Should I take the money and run?
Would anyone be willing to chat who made the jump from big 4 —> tech —> MBB? I did not have a great experience in tech and looking to pivot back into consulting. Went to a non-target undergrad but 10 YOE at good firms.
Been at PKF for 4 years now currently an S2 with cpa on Long Island. What salary should I expect? Right now I’m at 80k with a 5k bonus and I feel that’s low.

What do you tell account team and clients when a junior team member (who was covering for someone who was on vacation) made mistakes so bad it's jeopardizing the client relationship?

Took some PTO on a Monday so I wouldn't have to deal with the fact that it's Monday and everyone wanting something at 8am.
I have an interview for social media strategist with a rising DTC startup in NYC. I’m feeling imposter syndrome, since I’ve never marketed such a big, hip company. What books can I read or courses can I take to come into the interview solid and prepared? Most of my marketing theory is based on Seth Godin books and reading psychology.
Hello EY 🐠! Anyone kind enough to share what kind of questions you were asked by the interviewer when at interview? Specially for core tax, manager position. Wonder if it’s gonna be behavior question, technical, or mostly casual talk, etc? TIA.
Any tips for working w/ your father in this biz? 😬 see the huge opportunity to step into something that’s already built vs struggling in your first few years but I do worry about the father-son side
Advisory Managers that left EY for another big 4…when you gave your 2 weeks notice (or 4 weeks), were you let go effective immediately or did they allow you to continue to work despite the fact you were going to a competitor?
Is it hard to switch from a non-big 4 accounting firm to a big 4 accounting firm? Also are there any jobs at big 4 that don’t require 60+ hours a week?
