I have ~2 YOE and plan to apply for MBA next year (2023 start). Is it worth trying to switch to MBB first and starting from scratch (leaving right before promotion at my current firm) + delaying my application in terms of overall career trajectory if I want to go into VC or startups after MBA?

Everyone in this business claim to be using creativity to be changing the world. So I’m asking, which campaign have you actually worked on that has made a difference in the world? I’ve won close to 20 Cannes Lions but I can’t think of a single campaign I’ve made that has made a difference in real people’s lives.

Anyone here in Sales Engineering and got into M7?
Do you think Sales Engineering is a solid pre-MBA path, if the goal post MBA is MBB consulting?
My path is Tech consulting —> Tech sales engineering. Post MBA goal is MBB.

Why do corp dev roles for PE backed companies pay more than corp dev roles at corporations? Also, what’s the comp range you guys are seeing? I’m getting offers for 120K-140K and this just seems really low.

Coming up on 5 years as a phone-based advisor and trying to decide what to do from here. Money is good in my current role but i don’t have a book, same conversation over and over with no real end game. I love the idea of starting an RIA some day but obviously that would be easier with a substantial book. I am planning to sit for the CFP exam in March and make a move shortly after. I’m considering going to a new firm to build a book with the long term goal of trying to bring those clients with me
