We use a pour over. Very happy with it and makes a delicious cup. Our brand is a bodum.
☕️ FRENCH PRESS ☕️
Breville barista espresso machine. The best for homemade lattes and cappuccinos, but on the pricier side
Technivorm Moccamaster. Best coffee maker we’ve ever owned. And get a burr grinder too.
French press
I have been using Chemex pour over.
I bought a Jura A1 and although pricier it is small and convenient and it was totally worth it for me. Super auto espresso machine where it grinds beans fresh on demand. Cleans itself with periodic maintenance where you just put in a cleaning tablet.
I like my Jura, going strong since almost 6 years
If you are looking for an Espresso machine, the Breville Oracle Touch can’t be beat. It is semi-automatic and gives you great controls if you like hand-crafted lattes. I tried much more expensive machines (in the $4000 range) before deciding on the Touch. What sold me on it was the user control on a variety of settings, the self-tamping, and the steamer’s ability to make some of the best automated micro-foam. It’s on the pricey side (retail $2500) but more than pays for itself if you’re a regular drinker of premium lattes.
I have both the breville barista express and a chemex 8 cup. Breville for espresso based drinks. Chemex for light and bright cups of coffee. I use both all the time. Breville is a bit pricey, but quality is great and perfect for people who want to be more involved in their coffee making. Same for chemex
If you want to make batch filter coffee, the mochamaster is excellent. If you just want a single cup a pour over (hario v60) is perfect
I'm very happy with my Cusinart SS-15
Bun Velocity is a great drip coffee machine and keeps the water hot so a pit is done in 2 mins
Italian coffee maker from Bialetti. Makes the best and very strong cup. Don’t use Americanized coffee though and be mindful this is not meant to be drank by pints of coffee like American coffee is. Get some good coffee and you’ll have the best cup.
I have a Keurig, a French press, a Chemex, and a 10 dollar ceramic pour over from Target. If I had to chose one, I’d pick the chemex.
