I’ve had this for 3 years. Absolute dream machine. Better than my French press, aeropress etc.

Unless you need an exact grind for something specific you can also use a generic blade grinder despite what people say. I just grind and shake it while it grinds and it’s close to even.
Really don’t think you can tell the difference in the final drip.
(If you have an issue with small pieces going through a mesh depending on machine/press, then in that case only worry about perfectly even)

Kind of the opposite of what you’re looking for in terms of work...but a burr grinder + Chemex (or similar) pourover is really the way to get the best coffee at home. Once you get the hang of it, it doesn’t take too long and is a pretty nice morning routine for wfh

D2 - have you tried aero press ?
But I think you should get a nice grinder and a French press fwiw
If you’re after strong coffee, aeropress shits all over French press. A bit fussier though.

the inverted method is SO much easier.
Don’t have patience to spend 30 seconds holding down a little button?
Haha yeah but is it even a cup of coffee if you don’t have to stand up over the top of the press to get the leverage to push it down? Get a cup you can really chew on
And I also have a Nespresso original line for times of true hurry. I got one that came with a milk frother for like $170 I think and I prefer the original line a lot to the vertuo or whatever that new style is called

I have a Nespresso original line as well and I use it more than my French press, fancy espresso machine, and drip machine combined 😭 it’s the best

Look at Bunn, they’ve been a commercial restaurant brand forever, and have a home line. Good quality.

French press >
I’m a snob, and a need quality STRONG caffeine coffee. Buy your own fresh beans at the store, grind there, the viola!
Agree with this, store your beans in the freezer and use the grounds for your patio vegetable garden
I got my Nespresso machine from Target for $99 and it is my most priced possession. My homemade oat milk lattes are incredible

Look at a bean subscription from La Colombe - great coffee starts with great beans. they grind to spec [auto drip vs french press] - flexible on frequencies, lots of styles and can pause/change easily.
a high end grinder is expensive, messy and loud. it’s not the time issue - it’s everything else

Also, if you’re willing to drop $300 - look at the Moccamaster.
French press for sure!
If you like fresh-ground drip, look up “grind and brew”

Another vote for Nespresso original. The capsules are not cheap, but it’s worth it.
We have DeLonghi combination which has one side for espresso, including milk frother and the other side is for drip coffee. We are extremely happy with it because we can do espresso, cappuccino, latte or just black coffee. New one is about $250, but we bought used like new from Amazon for half the original place and it came unpacked in the original box.
