Was approached by a SVP and hiring manager of another IB shop. We talked, went great, he texted comp range etc. sent me a resume template to use, filled it and sent. He was waiting to hear back from MD, MD got sick. He took resume to HR actual and said I’d hear from them. Haven’t heard anything week or so later. Haven’t texted VP much as I don’t want to be creeper but really interested. Not sure how to engage at this point. At some level it seemed like a home run.

Anyone here in a PMO role or a Project Manager? Would love to know what type of certifications or professional development you recommend! I’m interested in developing a PMO function within my org and would love some advice on what to go after for myself and what to recommend to my team.
PwC 🐟 - can anyone help me with this situation? I was contacted by a recruiter regarding a position I applied to a while back. He asked to setup an interview. I called him and he said that he no longer works at PwC. My application has been in review for over 30 days. I am not sure who I can talk with to setup an interview or next steps. Am I just kind of stuck? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Our team at Medline is hiring. Position of need is mms/supply chain consultant and director/project manager level mms/supply consultant. Please reach out if anyone is interested
Got rejected by Guidehouse for a Consultant role. Should I throw a parade or something for dodging a bullet? Kind of pissed.
There is a new project that my SO (also at Deloitte) has been really interested in but wasn't offered a position. Yesterday, out of the blue I was offered a position on that team. Advice, tips, etc?
Everyone says staying until one year manager is key to jumping to a great position outside of audit, however I would think there's a ton of value of jumping at senior, gaining corporate accounting experience, and then if you wanted to jump from there opportunities would also be present. Does anyone have experience with this situation?
SO has been an art teacher for 5 yrs, looking to get out of the classroom. Just completed a Masters in Org Leadership with specialty in Proj Mgmt. What’s a good role for that Exp and Edu combo?

Any Bain PEG folks willing to chat and potentially refer me? Is Bain hiring for lateral ACs right now?
Does it really hurt if you are applying for a job after quitting? I know it’s much easier to find opportunities outside while you are in your current role but wanted to know your experience!
How efficient is the referral system at Amazon? Been referred for two roles. Status is "Under consideration" for two weeks now. Also, one of the roles has been taken down from their job postings while the other is still up. Does this mean that they have found the candidate or that they're done accepting applications and will now evaluate. The status for both is "Under consideration". Thanks!
How hard is the transition from Audit Assurance to Consulting? What position/title would I best qualify for? Any advice/ companies to look into?
I had a 1st round interview last week and I didn’t love the sound of the job. It’s in higher ed. It would also be a 20k pay cut (105 -> 85). They want to do a final round with me this week. During the interview, the director who would be my manager said they are understaffed and very busy. She also said someone in this role needs to love working. I don’t necessarily want to transition to another busy place for a pay cut. The only perk I see is the time off university staff get and tuition...comt
Which agencies in NYC use their data departments for more than monthly reporting ? And are you hiring ?
Are you working in a SCIF? Are you still required to go to the work site? Are you able to do any work from home?
All else equal, what’s better for MBA story and application: M&A execution consulting or pure strategy consulting?
Quit my old firm, started my new one 4 weeks ago. On a understaffed first project acting as senior /manager with a difficult client. Thinking about quitting to go back to my old firm. Thoughts? Left on good terms/open door with my team offering a counter offer previously.
Hey guys, I am currently in audit looking to pivot to FDD. I have about a year of experience in audit, and 6 months internship experience in private equity. Looking to leverage my experience in both audit and private equity in FDD. Don’t have a CPA but I have started studying. Looking to stay remote/west coast office. Open to connect with anyone further.
I’m done with this contrived stress. I want to run off to Buenos Aires for a few months. I want to sit in a cafe, enjoy a nice cold Quilmes and people watch. I wonder how cheap travel will be to Buenos Aires after Covid. Their economy is f’d right now
What’s the most dramatic jump in salary you’ve managed? At what position did you go from feeling underpaid to over/appropriately paid?
LEK vs Parthenon? Heard both are sweatshops. Would love to hear real life data points. Thank you in advance!
Recently had my opinion shut down because “as a white male, I was coming from a position of privilege and could not possibly understand”. Excuse me? My skin pigmentation has more bearing than any life experience, education and past hardships and condemns me to being inherently incapable of ever being able to grasp certain concepts?
Does anyone else here have a health condition that doesn’t increase your chances of getting covid compared to other people but if you DO get covid you’re at a high risk of getting severely sick? I’m in this position and worried about having to go back into the office soon, taking public transportation, etc. Our workplace will not be requiring masks or vaccines/knowing vaccination status and it’s making me worried having to deal with the increased risk.
Helping mother in-law get back in the workforce. She hasn’t really held down a stable job while raising her kids. Any suggestions if types of jobs to go after?
Just finished a product strategy interview. It was difficult. The interviewer's countenance did not help either ... Seemed like he was confused on what to ask me towards the end. Google seems to have a system where your resume is input and it spits out questions and that system failed me during my interview. I really want to protest the interview but I don't think it'll fly .
Anyone here applying for F1 to start Grad program in August? Any luck finding an appointment?

What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.
Trying to figure out how to manage health issues and work balance. I just recently found out I might have herpes (waiting for the test results to come back) and I have been very and feeling like my life is over especially because it came from being cheated on and struggling with prioritizing my bandwidth and not knowing how to communicate it with my team. Due to stigmas around something as common as herpes I cannot comfortably share that with my team.
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Anyone get 1 month health insurance in between jobs? Did you use cobra or another company ?

A little embarrassing but F it! After 2 babies back to back please recommend some spandex-y or super control top panties to help with the fupa. My 2021 goal is to lose the baby weight (30 lbs) but I’m afraid the skin is so stretched out it will still be there. Tummy tuck/lipo is in the works—trust! And please don’t feed me any of those, you brought life into the world BS lines. Panty suggestions please (or solidarity to lmk I’m not alone standing in the mirror naked thinking WTF)!
