Best company you worked for? And why was/is good?

Bummed out I spoke too much about my passion for film/tv spots in my JR CW position interview. I don’t think the CD thinks I’m a good fit for the role now bc the agency works primarily on social.

Hello all, I have two offers :-
1) General Ledger and Fixed assets Analyst at ChargePoint- 10 L + RSUs
2) Team Leader Reconciliation at Clifford Chance - 9.5 L + Yearly bonus.

Which one should I opt for? Any insights on the work culture in both organisations?

I got an offer from a top 5 bank with the following details.

92k base salary
10% target annual bonus
No signing bonus

I am going to counter with 100k and 8k signing bonus and provide them with my reasoning. The salary range on the job posting is 84k - 99k - 109k. Is 8k more insulting? Should I ask for 102k? The recruiter told me they are targeting low 90s when we first started talking, fyi. I also heard this company doesn't do signing bonuses so we will see about that.

9 years in Data engineering. How much can one expect from Axtria ?

I’ve been in the industry for just about 5 years. 4 of them in creative. This year, the reality set in that I don’t see myself doing this long term. I’m at the ACD / Senior Writer level. Been with my current employer for 10 years. Secure position, secure company. Want to move out of state, so starting over at a new company and that brings uncertainty. Has anyone been able to negotiate a severance package upfront as part of the package? I do not want to find myself in a dire position if the worst case was to happen where I fired from the new job. Career advice needed: I'm at $140K per year and have 40% equity in a company. I will only get the remaining 60% equity if our company is bought or goes public. But I can walk away now and keep my 40% equity.
I got approached by a competitor who will pay me $186K per year (so more than a 30% increase) and will also offer me equity that won't fully vest for 4 years (so essentially 25% year 1, 25% year 2, etc.). I won't get any actual money from this equity unless they are bought/go public.

With the recent horror stories of rescinded offers, any creative advice on how/when to give notice?

I’m in the pre offer stage with a FAANG company. I’ve been burned before so I asked the recruiter for insight on what I was getting into. He suggested I meet with someone else on the team. I did that today and this individual painted a very ugly picture (chaos, cut throat competition, and incompetence, etc.). What should I make of this? It is significantly higher pay and would allow me to walk into a new field. I don’t think I will get this opportunity again. Feedback is appreciated.
