Any materials, open source platform recommended to take on freelance data science project? When should I start actively looking and applying? I am a new grad who is working in tech as a marketing analyst I’m looking to pivot to marketing& sales data science consulting next year. McKinsey & Company Can someone recommend the top consulting firms to look at for HCLS opportunities? Preferably firms with a dedicated BU in HCLS focused on advising as well as project based work. I am currently in discussions with Huron. I have looked at Oliver Wyman (appears to be heavy on payor and Rev Cycle), Deloitte McKinsey & Company and Capgemini I’ve reached out to McKinsey but didn’t receive a reply. Any direction/advice and referrals would be greatly appreciated!

No1 thing to do in Paris?
I want to give my resume to my client. Thoughts?
Mbb
Are you also a razor fish or are you just sapient?
Background is digital/tech work, playing more of a product manager and business/UX consultant.
Would be more interested in Deloitte Digital/Accenture Interactive type work. Am eager to get out of energy industry (not enough happening there) and into more forward-thinking industries.
A1, one of the great benefits of ACN is that we have a strong presence in pretty much all industries - makes no sense that you think Energy is all we do
Big deloitte digital presence in ATX. The new office and studio is unreal.
Accenturejob2018@gmail.com. I am in Houston. Haven’t been on a single energy project.
Such interesting opinions in this thread haha. All I will say is that I turned down offers from Deloitte and Bain to come to Accenture :)
What’s your background and what are you looking for?
TSC1, obviously I’m talking about Houston specifically. If you lived here you’d know. If you don’t believe me, take a look at our numbers for Resources in the SW and see what cities we dominate in for Energy
Never been on a Houston project let alone one in region also am a houstonian
I would avoid ACN unless it’s the only option you have
ACN’s all in comp as a C1 is only around 110k, but it is a great firm
I think most of are only here because we frankly didn’t clear final rounds for Tier 1/2
Shoot for MBB/ Tier 2 (Deloitte S&O/ Strategy&) first
Slalom would be a good option. Good presence in Houston and we have just opened in Austin. Austin is recruiting Product Managers with digital/UX background.
Don’t come to Accenture if you want to get out of energy. That’s all we do here. I recently left bc of that
Open to recommendations in Austin as well
S& has 90% of their energy practice there. Good people too
I’m in Houston and not on an energy project.
People from Accenture are so thick sometimes. Obviously not every single project in Houston is Energy; there are other industries. But the MAJORITY will be energy because that’s the dominating industry in the region
A1, for 95% of my time working at Accenture I've not worked in my home city - for about 80% of it I've not even been in-region. Unless you're an analyst (who are more strictly bound by the regional model) being BASED out of Houston doesn't mean you're WORKING in Houston
Haha TSC1 no worries, I respect your move and know strong ACN consultants that followed your path.
Sometimes it is better to be a big fish in a small pond. You probably are well on your way to MD.
@A1, first you say “that’s all we do here" then you say “majority”, which is it?
