Going to MBB from Tier 2...worth the switch?
Anyone know how much the settlement for the Taylor Bean Whitaker lawsuit was? Just curious about the impact on the company's overall health.
When your boss gives you 48 hours (clock hours not billable hours) to produce a viable objection to a MTD/compel arbitration in a complex commercial lit case, which is not my practice area, what kind of result is he expecting? From scratch, no template.
I always forget how traveling to LAX is half flying, half just getting across the fucking tarmac
Plot twist in the Bezos story: he’s hiring some truly unsavory people to represent him, per NY Times. (I’m a little obsessed by the story.) Cont’d...
- Finished MBA end of 2018 - Upon graduation, MBA hire to tier 2/3 firm (basically tech consulting), laid off June 2020 - October 2020- started as PM/scrum master with mid-tier AWS consulting partner Question- I've always wanted to go to a top tier consulting firm for the experience/brand for PM/Program management. Would you be willing to take a paycut to make it happen? It seems in current climate candidates have all the leverage, but being told I don't have the experience for manager level
What have people heard (good or bad) about Moss Adams (either Irvine or San Francisco location)?
I see some of my peers leaving tech consulting in PwC to accept a position as a product manager in tech companies like amazon, google, Salesforce, qualtrics, doordash, etc? How is the transition like? Or how TC in a B4 compares to PM in a big tech company?
I’m shocked by how broken and frustrating the AWS recruiting process for tech positions is. Seems like complete disconnect between the recruiting coordinators and the folks who actually interview. Maybe I just happened to get the most incompetent set of recruiting coordinators but the expectations set and instructions given for each interview were inaccurate plus the interviewer seemed to be reading from a script the entire time. Holy f*ck. What kind of brainless robots are they looking for?
Thinking that anytime I'm in the SkyClub it is wine o'clock, even if I wouldn't be drinking at 3pm in the office (or home office).
I’m thankfully hitting my hours, but my firm keeps passing non-billable work my way. I am grateful for the opportunities, but this type of work always seems to find its way to the female associates at my firm. We have been told that non-billable work is irrelevant in terms of our annual hours. Any tips on how to navigate this in a thoughtful way? I want to be a team-player, but I believe that others need to step up to the plate.
Good morning! Anyone at Booze Allen willing to get me a req? Please DM me or invite me to DM you. I see a remote position that fits me well. Thank you for reading my TedTalk.
My firm is virtual - all work done remotely in home office unless on client site. Haven’t traveled since mid October. It’s driving me nuts. What do you recommend doing?
Anyone take courses/get a degree from Harvard Extension School? Experience? Was it worth it? Are you also able to build a network? Realize it’s not like an MBA, but that doesn’t fit my life now .
