Citi double cashhh
Coupled with Amex Blue Preferred for grocery and gas rebates, and Capital One Savor for dining rebates.
I’ve been using Chase Southwest for the last 6 years. We put all expenses on it and pay it off in full every month. With companion pass, the wife flies for free with me and we haven’t “paid” for an actual ticket in the last 3 years. With covid we have been racking up points. Also decent annual cost
Do the same with AMEX Delta platinum card
There’s no best FIRE card. Just get one that aligns with your goals and lifestyle (highest cash back, most points for eating out, etc)
Ignore rate (under FIRE you zero out monthly) and focus on points.
Any. But specifically higher credit lines are better for building higher credit and gaining lower interest on loans.
Look at your lifestyle, and then decide what cards meet it. You want to get cards that reward you for doing what you usually do, as opposed to trying to increase your spending for the cards. If you travel a lot for work, then look into travel cards. A good and simple sytem that I recommend to friends/family is Chase UR network. Get the Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Reserve/Preferred, and make sure you hit those sign up bonuses. If you want to get rewards for more specific brands then you can branch out from this system. The Chase UR system is nice because it will give you a lot of flexibility, and you can pool your points together from all of the cards.
