Hi! Question. How does your company handle the communication between customers and solution engineers during integration? Do you use Slack, Jira, etc? We are using Slack but some customers won’t use Slack so then it’s bleeding over to other forms of communication that are less ideal. hardest week I’ve experienced in my career (25) and I just can’t stop crying. It’s too much pressure and I don’t know how I will get through this. I worked until 9pm+ every night this week and at this point I see no balance between work and personal life. I understand there’s good days and bad but this week was insane. Im scared Im going to get fired for not being good enough and I know I’m unhealthy mentally. It’s also impacting the relationships in my life. No question just venting.

I was just given a special parking spot and told I could move to the (recently vacant) nicer, larger office with a view of downtown. And I was given permission to buy new furniture for my new office. I feel so special! Now, anybody have suggestions on choosing good quality office furniture and how to figure out best layout for the space? I am looking to get out of the retail automotive sales business and perhaps find something related, like automotive software suppler position. I have been a BDC Director and Manager and have 10+ years of experience training BD agents on process and software applications in the industry. I can't seem to get any traction with the vendors. Are there other industries that might want an experienced automotive sales manager/BDC manager? I am in South Florida, but I am wiling to relocate.

What are your thoughts on leadership roles where you would be asked to be in the office 5 days a week… while your sales team wouldn’t be in the office

Hi there, I got an offer for an early stage cyber security saas startup in Canada and they offered me 130k base and 10-15% commissions which they estimated at 160-240k additional a year. They only have 1 sales person at the moment and I would be 2nd and they are hiring for 3 more. I’ve always been on a 50:50 model and never done the % of revenue. Average deal size is 40k. I got 12 yoe in enterprise tech sales. No stock options upfront but potentially after the first 3 months. Good deal?

Currently working at a large enterprise company and I have taken a role as the 1st AE at a startup expanding to the US. What would you look to accomplish within the first 60 days and how would you approach improving as your tenure grows?

Anyone here currently work or have worked for @Gartner as an AE in Large Enterprise? I’ve had a couple of opportunities to interview over the past several years but have passed both times. Pay appears to be pretty solid from what I’ve been told and I’d eventually like to work a smaller book size and sell services instead of SaaS, as these are usually always in demand regardless of economic conditions.

How large is your referral bonus if you refer someone and they get hired at your company?

How do people go about calling areas outside of your physical area code? Are you using something to mask your area code as a local code?

My quota is based on invoiced sales that resets quarterly. This includes a sliding-scale commission % based on how far you’re at on your quarterly goal (towards quota) which is checked/paid once a month. The only thing that goes toward our quota is PAID sales. This excludes orders still being processed by DE (largest orders) and customers still within NET payment terms. We don’t get paid until the company gets paid. Am I missing warning potential? Am I being expected of A and judged on B?

Does anyone here use LinkedIn for prospecting, and have success with it? I have Premium, and I send dozens of messages per week, and if I’m lucky one person will respond. And most of the people I message work for companies that are already purchasing from us, but there’s no business relationship. Super frustrating.

The other question is: how many of you receive unsolicited messages on LinkedIn and just ignore them?

Since starting at this company in January 2022, they’ve increased my base pay from 75k to 85k. Moved me in a desirable territory to maximize sales. allowed me to speak and train reps for what has been working. Given me the freedom to work strategies that work for me.

I absolutely love this company so far. I know my worth is higher than 85k base but sheesh. The way they value me and treat their employees right. Maybe it’s worth the lesser pay?
