Best federal data science practice? Pros and cons from current employees? Much appreciated

I’ve seen more roles for in-house diligence at MM/LMM PE funds lately. Anyone thought through the pro/cons of a role like that vs. FDD?

Has anybody worked on VAT team on RSM or know people that have? What is culture like? Work schedule and hours like during busy season? Any information would be helpful.

Need guidance. 6YOE (27M) in consulting basically doing dashbboarding (Tableau) and fancy excel models (data translation) for clients. I realized recently that I love the analytics/data science concepts more and want to be an SME in this space. So, a month ago I was offered a data engineer position at a fintech firm. I was going to accept it. The interview process had taken over a month. Then, at the last minute, an old coworker/friend - who is a manager at FAANG now - randomly offered me a data engineer __contractor__ position at a FAANG. The rate was really good - more than the fintech company was offering as annual salary. Rate was 160/HR and fintech was 275K TC. The benefits are ok - it’s a W2 contractor. But I’m thinking of...

Does it make to move from SA at Lighthouse to Consultant at Deloitte A&C. Moving from 110k to 130k but D offer says only up to 10% bonus? Currently been 4 years at Lighthouse.
