Are you trying to stay in consulting? Or actual companies?

Any. Just trying to scope what all the consulting firms and healthcare companies are working on - Branding wise. Also to assess trends in the healthcare IT market space

Heard Cerner is laying people off in parts of your org. True?

Hey mummas, I'm struggling with how I feel about my team at work. None of them, including my manager, have children and they just don't get it. I'm pregnant with my third and my manager has never once asked me how I'm doing, only ever refers to it in terms of me 'leaving' for maternity leave so he'll be a resource down. Never once asked how I'm coping with juggling wfh & full time caring for my children through covid, and icing on the cake my baby just recently.. (continued in comment)

Incoming 1st yr BigLaw associate (V50 in a big city). I am curious if there are networking benefits to having expensive work clothes/accessories. I went to school on scholarship so I don’t have tons of debt, but my parents aren’t rich so much of the culture is foreign to me. I have hobbies I would rather spend my discretionary income on. But if having a Rolex or wearing Brooks Brothers suits would improve my standing w partners or if dressing cheaper would hurt, then I’d suck it up. Pls advise

I have a VUL with cash value I've decided I no longer need the life insurance associated with this policy. Is there a way to get access to the cash value without owing taxes? If no, how will it be taxed and how to determine how much gain/tax? I paid maybe $20k into this policy many years ago. Since then it has increased in value and also paid the premiums from the cash value. Today it shows $70k cash value. TIA

Hi ladies. I received a speeding ticket over the weekend and assumed if I paid it off, I’d get the deferred adjudication option. I amicably split from my wife in Dec 2020. After two months alone I got desperate for human touch and made an OLD profile. I quickly met a lovely woman and we're FWBs I guess? We haven't defined things (no ex talk, not exclusive) but we had a great summer (camping, hiking, biking, dinners, etc.) and I could see it getting serious. Problem is I haven't told her I'm estranged but still legally married. My ex has health issues that need my insurance and I can not cut her off after 10yrs together

I spent the last 3 months "growing up" & now I'm ready to go. 1st thing is for me to get my own place. I'd like to buy instead of rent because I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage. I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest. Anything wrong with this thinking or anything else I should consider?

What are your goals for your health/fitness? I got back into fitness/exercise in August after an 8 month hiatus and have been realizing new goals for myself. Curious to hear others’ goals.
