Citi double cash is good, but I’d also suggest getting the Amex Everyday too.
Amex triples your credit on request after 60 days with no additional credit check, and their customer service can’t be beat. Getting one early is a good idea if you want to build credit.
Despite the drawbacks of Amex, I've really enjoyed the benefits of the Delta-branded Amex Platinum. If you plan to fly regularly and prefer Delta, the mileage bonuses and pathway to medallion status with the platinum Amex are huge. I also more than cover the annual fee using the extra bag allowance and the annual companion ticket.
I believe chase freedom is (or at least was) friendly to those building your credit. Also, it is no AF so you can keep it forever and a good compliment to Chase Sapphire when you can get it.
Can you still get both flavors of Freedom? If so both unlimited and the 5% rolling categories are probably worth getting early.
Capital one quicksilver is an option too, with a simple 1.5% cash back. And it is easier to get approved for than some cards issued by other banks.
Cit double cash or chase freedom unlimited

Message me if you want a referral bonus.
I second this. I love my delta Amex platinum. Only downside is not being able to use it at Costco
CSR BY FAR! DM for a referral bonus :)
Probably won’t qualify!
How many cards have you opened in the last two years?
