I booked basic economy even though I’m platinum on delta using rewards since it was crazy cheap. Does upgrading to regular economy cost a lot? Will there be a cheapest time to move up?

How many points? Caribbean Marriott Cat 3 property, 5 nights. They have an issue with the boiler so no hot water and shower stops in between. Ice cold showers for 4 days in a row 🥶. Hotel phones don’t work because network is down and only local channels work on tv. Last night they had a huge leak in the lobby. They kept knocking stuff all night to fix it and then left a large floor fan running. I understand it’s tough reopening so don’t want to push, plus they upgraded our room at check in.

Bummed dragon flight is being released after thanksgiving break. Now I gotta take PTO on Tuesday 🤷.. oh well

Any beach Hotel recommendations is Malaga, SP and Marbella, SP (<$300/night could be slightly more)?
Also, im a US citizen does it make sense to get an Int'l drivers license, rent a car and drive between those places? Any easy way of getting between those places?
