Sharing incident happened today with Capgemini . I was told 25% on my fixed at the start by some consultancy after bargaining.Took their interviews, and now this HR guy can't even match what I am getting now. What a joke !
Lesson learnt : Have a salary expectation convo with the company HR before attending interview. And if possible avoid consultancy route.

Being non-technical won't "hurt" your earning potential, but you do need to be realistic about your expectations. Being non-technical in tech or consulting is just like any other profession. I can't be an RN trying to get a neuro surgeon salary. But I can be top of my field with the right experience & education. It won't be the same money as the neuro surgeon, but I'll still be well paid.
One thing about being on this app is it can make you feel "behind". Research YOUR field, find your passion, and then make the most out of that.
Good luck ❤
