Fisher Phillips. 1850 billable hour requirement, and the comp is above Littler, JL, and Ogletree. Partners legitimately don’t mind if you say you don’t have bandwidth, which is rare. With that said, your bonus structure is non-capped, so some folks prefer to work longer hours to meet certain financial goals.
A recruiter told me 4th years are making $180k-$200k depending on location, excluding the non-capped bonus
Littler
Fisher Phillips is pretty solid. Only 1850 billable, and they intentionally pay higher salaries than comparable firms (Littler, Ogletree, Jackie Lewis)
Clark Hill's l&e practice is 1950 to get a bonus. But I know a few associates who consistently hit 1850 and they're not in jeopardy, just no bonus.
Ogletree has a 1900 billable hour requirement. You get a 10k bonus and a raise if you hit that. If you bill 1800 you get a half step increase. There are always shareholders you don’t say know to, in any firm, but i’ve never had an issue telling people “no”. Plenty of good lawyers who don’t hit 1900 and don’t have any problem, they just don’t get full raises.
