Best material to study for Security +? Taking it again after barely failing (year ago) - but want to make sure I get the right material this time around

Used Jason Dion’s course and practice test. I also bought Professor Messers practice test and found it very useful. You’ll pass it this time for sure!

I passed Sec+ and several other certifications, and I helped teach it internally for my company. Professor Messor is good for covering the basics. This should help if you have a good grasp of the domains, but other courses have more depth that assisted with the exam. Jason Dion was a great help, both with his material covering just what you need to know, a condensed study guide, and great practice questions. A new source I would recommend is the Security+ exam cram series on YouTube by Inside Cloud and Security. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

I used Training Camp. It’s a 3 day virtual bootcamp, instructor led, exam voucher, 400+ practice questions. If you fail, you can resist the course again for free. Quite expensive but worth it if you can get it paid for by your company. Many other options, just sharing what I personally used at the time last year.

I used Jason Dion and Ian Niel Sec+ book. You may want to check if your company offers Udemy Business before buying the Jason Dion video courses.

Hi! I just passed Security+ this week...and I didn't have A+ or Network+ or time in the industry (yet) because I'm in a career pivot and decided I needed to pass to show I was serious and could grasp the content.

Second others comments on Professor Messer (his videos and his Security+ study groups) and Jason Dion's course on Udemy. Also like Mike Chapple's content on LinkedIn and his night before the exam cheat sheet. It's available on his website. Best $9.99 I've spent in recent memory and it's useful not only as a last minute cram.

Get the CompTIA exam objectives and keep checking those to assess your progress. Set study goals and stick to them. I listened to Prof. Messer study group podcasts in my car on my commute. In early June, I didn't even know the OSI model. By the end of July, I narrowly failed my first attempt and then passed on my second try 4 days ago. It definitely can be done! Go get it and good luck!

Use Jason Dion udemy and practice exam.

Has anyone ever dealt with this ?

Hi guys 👋🏻👋🏻
I am filling the onboarding form for my next company IBM where they have asked 2 questions:
1)Were you earlier a member of Employee's provident fund scheme, 1952?
2) Were you earlier a member of Employee's pension scheme, 1995?

All I know is PF and EPS amounts were deducted from my salary in my previous company but how to know if I am a member of these two mentioned schemes?

Thanks in advance for your inputs guys 🙌🏻

Hi everyone!

After years of hard work, I just got my first position in a leadership role! Yay! I’ll be leading a team of 12.
I wanted to know if you had any tips for me, things you wish you knew before, or things previous leaders did for/to you that you found admirable or stayed with you. I want to make sure I’m there for them and want to be a leader they will remember positively.

Thank you so much!!

Thoughts...10+ years practical/management experience in/around legal field in FL (includes state government, in-house non-profit, civil practice, etc.). Two years ago took a job to relocate closer to where I want to be...but not sure if being valued and compensated appropriately. It’s a smaller firm, salary $75k, not too much in way of bonuses so maybe $5k, but always step up to plate with assisting management as leader for operational contributions and I meet annual revenue goals around $300k.

Mega Backdoor Roth IRA question/After-Tax contributions

Crosspost from a thread in the KPMG bowl discussing Mega Backdoor Roth IRA/After-Tax contributions. I wanted to ask a quick question for a “mistake” I may have made.

I forgot to change my contributions from after-tax to Roth + Traditional. A few paychecks went through as after-tax and hasn’t touched my $20,500 contribution limit for the year yet.

How will those funds be used/taxed? What are the implications here.

Working as Consultant at Cognizant Business Consulting now, I am being offered a role of Senior Business Analyst as a contractor for 1yr, initially for 6 months in Deloitte. I am a bit skeptical with this Contractor thing. Can someone guide me please? They say I don't have prior Big 4 consulting experience and hence this role.
