I have about 2.5 years of experience, wondering if a Teach for India Fellowship would add value to my CV in terms of MBA programs?
I don’t understand why I have to bear the bulk of the burden to be a successful role model for the entire family. I’m so tired. Why am I responsible/to blame as to why someone else is successful or not
Besides S2S, are there any other veteran or military networks associations / programs that I should connect with for MBA prep / networking? Thanks fam
Can anyone tell me if PwC's non-client-serving Director role is the same rank as an EY Director? Or, is it more like an EY Associate Director?
What can you expect the hiring process to be once you interview? I applied for a firm posting, had an interview with two partners for the practice group and then received a request for a second interview the same day. The second interview was with mix of partners and associates from the practice group. I sent thank you emails next day, but not a peep since I received a couple generic responses. I followed up with the partners from the first interview asking for any updates in their decision...
Best exits in Dallas for a CPA/MBA with MBB consulting experience as a manager, but not actual work experience in accounting?
Any chance of getting into M7 MBA directly from mid-tier FDD? I did 2 years in big 4 audit (including promotion) before making the transfer. End goal is IB.
Has anyone got PERM certification done successfully with just undergrad and 2-3 years of experience?
Does an MBA from a tier-3 institute add value after about 10 years of post-MBA experience? Or maybe it actually erodes your value?
Do people know what the current post-MBA signing bonus is at their firms? I’m trying to advise a friend but it’s been a while for me.
I'm in technology and looking to get an MBA. Are rankings important for non-accounting MBAs? I'm between two now, one that has an IT management focus and one that is more general leadership. Contd
I am a full stack developer (java) with AWS Certification. I want to switch company. Can anyone please refer me?
“when I think back, from my obviously privileged position, on the texture of daily life during the past four years, all the attention sucked up by this black hole of a president has been its own sort of loss. Every moment spent thinking about Trump is a moment that could have been spent contemplating, creating or appreciating something else. Trump is a narcissistic philistine, and he bent American culture toward him.” I think about this all the time as I spend hours in this bowl.
Do you negotiate salary upfront in the interview process or after you get an offer? Base salary for initial position seemed lower than expectation but think I can negotiate if I get an offer.
Career Path: Ops in industry to Public Sector management consulting (no really, not staff aug) to current M7 MBA first year. I'm going through consulting recruiting right now and I really have this nagging MBB-or-bust feeling as I'm talking with all these firms. I feel like that's not sensible. Talk to me, 🐠. What should I be thinking right now about firm selection?
What is the route to PE Ops or Deal side post-MBA if you don’t have pre MAB experience? Currently at MBB but wondering if the move is at all possible, if I’m willing to start lower in PE
Change my mind: MBA’s do not have a good ROI if you already make $150+ The only benefits I see are: -2 year sabbatical -Build irreplaceable network (arguably makes it worthwhile but no guarantee)

What’s the typical raise (bonus salary and bonus) for 2nd year Consultants out of MBA at LEK? I know it varies based on performance, but would like a bit of color on the projected % increase. Thanks in advance!
How often do you think to yourself "I never want to interact with a cishetero person again"? I'm bi and going through a breakup with a straight person and lemme tell y'all this thought is FREQUENT 🙄
Does anyone else struggle with taking sick days? My cramps are SO bad today, I woke up crying. But the rest of my team is out and we have a lot of work to finish this week so I’m just going to struggle through it 😞
I’m hitting week 4 of 5 workouts per week doing Pilates inspired workouts. I’m feeling drained, sore, exhausted and unfocused. My work schedule isn’t helping with the stress and fatigue, but I’m wondering if the workout routine isn’t also just killing me. Anyone else workout 5 days a week and just feel drained?
Is it ever worth paying for a certificate for an online course vs just completing it without a certificate?
I’m subleasing my place in River North through March 2021. I’m looking for $1700 per month or best offer. It is a full amenity building. Message me if interested.
Hi. I’m about to start in a new small agency. Have been doing some stalking and realized everyone there is white. I got really panicky all of a sudden and felt both dread and lots of nerves. :/ does anyone else feel that way? And do you have any advice?
Being a "Rising Star" or "Chief" in the Singles bowl is one of the most backhanded compliments I've ever seen an app have.
How many times is too many times to follow up with potential employers? Is this something I should do every week? I don’t want to come across as pushy or annoying but I also would like a job offer.
Salaams. I hope each one of us will find something beneficial in this. You’re not alone. It is OK to not feel ok. https://youtu.be/Yqz0qPTRJjM
Thoughts/advice on transitioning into entry level PM roles? Best avenues to show value? Any veterans can speak from experience on what you look for in candidates?
Fiction book recommendations? I'm in charge of our book club selection this month and don't know what to pick! Contemporary, historical fiction, chick-lit would be the ideal genres - something that's easy reading for a group of upper 20's women 🙂
Genuinely curious how some people can heavily drink 4x a week and repeat week in and week out and not feel completely horrible about themselves. I drink heavily one night and it takes me 3 days to feel good about myself again.
If I am traveling to india visa British Airways, and have an expired H1B visa stamp (need to get re stamping in india), do I need a transit visa to go they heathrow airport?
Very curious - do you reply to vendor emails? I tend to ignore most but surprised by how many I get forwarded to me by clients and leadership that make me wonder if I’m supposed to pay attention to all of these. Curious what you do!
